Kim Seung Woo Leaves 1N2D, The Hunt For A New Member is on!

With major changes being made for the program, Kim Seung Woo will be leaving KBS’ 1 Night 2 Days.

On March 7, KBS announced that Kim Seung Woo will be leaving 1 Night 2 Days along with Choi Jae Hyung PD. Kim Seung Woo film his last episode on March 15.

Kim Seung Woo’s agency stated that he wanted to start and end with Choi Jae Hyung PD, which is why he is departing from the show.

“We thank everyone for being saddened by Kim Seung Woo’s departure. Since he is not leaving on bad terms, we hope that everyone will watch him until the very end,” said the company.

Kim Seung Woo has been on the show since March of 2012.

As of now, the remaining members will stay with the program.

Dramabeans says the possible new member/s are rumored to be the following comedians: Kim Joon-hyun, Heo Kyung-hwan, or Jung Tae-ho. I think a comedian would be a good choice to increase the overall funny factor of the show.

eta: since the cast isn't changing too much, I'm more concerned about who's going to replace bird pd. I kinda wanna see what it'll be like with a girl pd in charge

I don't like him in Gag Concert but I really like him in The Human Condition. He might be a good addition if he's being his sincere self instead of trying to bring the funny.

I'm gonna miss Seungwoo and his butt wrestling.

I've been meaning to check that out but was reluctant because I wasn't a fan of or familiar with every one except for na pd lol (does he make appearances?)

is it the kind of show where I can jump right in or should I try to watch from the beginning?

I was skeptical at first since they are all comedians and they can be tryhard in variety but I like it. It's very enlightening in a way to see how everyone adapt to the situation. I'm not sure if Na PD appeared as I only catch the show whenever I can.

It's better to start from the first episode or at least the first episode of a theme. And the theme (like the no internet/smart phone) can go for a few episodes.

not surprised, i knew he'd be the first to leave. he's old and the show is too harsh for him, he gets tired very easily. but he was good and im excited to see who they'll get to replace him.

I don't think wanting to start/end together has anything to do with it. Dramabeans mentioned they were having contract negotiations, so I assume Seung Woo and Bird PD both thought it was a convenient time to leave. Otherwise, they might have to wait all the way until the new contract is done.

i would start watching again if they got heo kyunghwan on the show. he's good on happy together although he can be quite a douche. glad they're changing PDs. i don't know if it was Choi PD's direction or not but the editing in season 2 (or 3?) is terrible and it killed the funny

i'm going to miss him! i'd rather not see another comedian... i like seeing the actors try out variety. cha taehyun is probably the best variety actor ever. i love his laugh. i'm going to miss bird pd!
