I like it but I still feel the rapping feels strange and off. I don't think that guy pulls off Taeyang's lines well either, but then there are only really 2 singers trying to fill 5 roles so that's pretty hard.
Mostly it's the TOP's hard voice that is really missing
Well, seeing as how this is one of my favorite "recent" BB songs, I'm pretty tough to please. I felt there was no emotion in this arrangement or the vocals...The tempo was too fast and it seemed as though they got lost/were unable to keep up with their own arrangement. I don't know if it's cause they have weak vocals or because they are so monotone the entire but this was baaaaaaad :/
Listening to this you suddenly realize the importance of the individual voices in Big bang and their impact on detail.
Otherwise I actually thought it was good, smooth sailing. I definitely agree with the previous comments that TOP's baritone was missing. Although I was expecting it to be a lot more rockish.
a post dedicated to me T-T i am not worthy. i honestly think hanbyul has one of the best voices in kpop, this song however does not do it justice. my favorite is still their cover of miss a's bad girl good girl.
I like it, although I like the original arrangement better- It's a song that really does benefit from Big Bang's vocal range. I find it funny that the rock band cover actually sounds less like a U2 song than the original- I assume it's because their guitarist isn't nearly as in love with the pedal effects as the Edge/Big Bang's guitarist is.
I remain madly in love with Hanbyul, though. I just want him to sing Nat Imbruglia's Torn for the lulz, though. He's an Aussie in his 20s, no way he doesn't know it by heart.
the things i remember from the original: edge-esque guitars, the wonderful warm shock of t.o.p's voice in the opening verse, inadequate bits of daesung's powerful voice, some whining singing (mostly taeyang :3) for the rest of the track. feel like this cover just... takes the whining singing, indiefies it a bit, and spreads it all over the song. GIMME MY T.O.P BACK. do ledapple compose and perform original stuff, OP?
