Psy and B.A.P included in Grammy’s ‘Best of 2012′ photos

B.A.P and Psy have been spotted on the Grammy’s homepage in a section titled,  ’Snapshot: Best Of 2012‘!

On their homepage earlier was a feature called ‘The Year In Photos‘ with the description, ”A look back at music’s top photographic moments of 2012″. The photos included world famous names such as Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Jay Z, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, and more. What caught the attention of Kpop fans, however, was the inclusion of Psy, which may not be surprising since he has become the biggest internet sensation of 2012, and B.A.P, which was a pleasant surprise.

In addition, B.A.P and Psy were the only Asian artists featured on the photo reel, making it even more noteworthy in the eyes of many.

I still don't know how the photo's worthy of a 'Best Of...' mention though. It's such a random event haha. It's still really cool though!

Even as a Baby, I'm rather bewildered as to why B.A.P were included? Is there something particularly interesting about the photo that I'm missing? Or they just wanted a picture of another K-Pop artist in green to match Psy?

I mean, I'm really happy that they get this recognition, but so confused...

They are getting recognition! Maybe not that internationally but the Korean media will go all hyped for sure so maybe they might be more recognized?

Yes, they'd better stay in korea--well, go ahead and tour internationally but keep putting out songs in korean. Don't even go to japan for a while yet, srsly.

Well, actually I think going to Japan would be great for them! I think they would do great over there but first I think they should really become well known in Korea (And release no more cutesy songs)
I get feelings TS will take them to Japan for a showcase by the end of the year.

I think it's fine for them to go do showcases wherever, but they shouldn't make a serious go at the japanese market yet. (If they did, it would be awkward if BYG couldn't write his own raps anymore since I doubt his Japanese is good enough, which leaves them singing Japanese versions of their Korean catalogue, which everyone here just loves....)

Those outfits are from Hajima... at what point in the song is Youngjae away from all the others? I must investigate! Unless they happen to be performing Crash (though I still wouldn't know). Actually, I haven't really watched any Hajima promos, though I saved them all. ^^;;

Wasn't this the picture that led to minor furore within fandom because it was posted on some site (classic case of the mass dye-job coming back to haunt them) and there were racist comments etc.? Maybe they picked it up from there? That would make it even stranger though. xD
