Danny's still awkward at this (hosting,interviewing) at times but he's definitely gotten better than the first episode. His interview with Jeremy Scott was just...idk so awkward and weird lol.

He really is. Plus he's a douche. I couldn't stand him when he was talking about 2NE1 or just talking in general because you can tell that he knows nothing about K-pop or Korean culture. He was asking what "kogi" meant.

he's an adopted korean american. i think it's great that he's on the show since korean adoptees are a huge population in the us and do not get any representation. so yeah he's playing up the part of not having a clue. it serves two purposes since it points to the fact that not all korean americans necessarily speak korean or know about k-pop or pop culture and it also makes the show accessible to casual viewers who aren't expected to know all about k-pop.

that said, i think kevin sometimes interrupts the flow of the interviews with his jokes. overall i think he's hilarious though.

No, no I understand why he's there because I do think it's a really good idea to have someone like him who represents Korean adoptees as well as Korean Americans or just Americans who don't speak Korean and/or aren't knowledgable about K-pop. However, what I don't like is how he comes off as condescending or kind of douche-y when he asks about things but hey that's just me and maybe he doesn't mean to come off that way.

I agree. He doesn't appear even remotely interested in Korean culture and seems to look down on Kpop. That's why I don't get why he's there if that's what the show is about.

totally agreed. I think it's a good idea to have someone who represents the not-having-a-clue-side of people who are new to kpop (since I think everyone who has ever gotten into it has gone through that phase of just being freaked out by how in-group the whole system/industry culture seems) but he does talk about it in a really condescending way rather than seeming like he wants to learn

Danny is so precious <3 But the fact that he's doing this gig in LA pretty much sets in stone that there is zero percent chance of a 1tym comeback. Like ever :'C
But I'm glad that he still feels so strongly for YG Family, the bond between the company seems really genuine. I was hoping for some more DannyxBom interactions, but then again, they may never have been close anyway.
I hope this all goes well for Danny, because he is precious as fuck <333

He is...he kept mentioning it too, "i am a part of it"..."he (PSY) is part of OUR family now". In Korea, he works under the talent development department so he mostly shows up in YG auditions. He appeared at the recent auditions too in LA.

Kevin is just an annoyance tbh. Maybe it's because I don't understand ~comedians~. There is a way of being funny and witty without saying problematic things or being condescending.
