Singer PSY has set yet another record.
Up until now, the only other Korean artist to chart on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart were the Wonder Girls, who ranked at #76 with their English version of “Nobody”. PSY has broken that record, charting at #64 with “Gangnam Style“!
Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart is based on the scores of the week’s radio broadcast ratings, the sales volumes of digital downloads and albums, along with the results of streaming services.
PSY’s fame is further building in the US after signing with Scooter Braun and appearing on famous radio and talk shows. On September 13th, PSY also seized #6 on the US iTunes’ Singles Chart. Furthermore, PSY’s “Gangnam Style” MV has recorded over 150 million views, and the singer will be returning to Korea on the 25th after attending the ‘iHeartRadio Music Festival‘ in Las Vegas taking place on the 21st & 22nd.
