Lifeguards Fired Over "Gangnam Style" Parody Video
Over a dozen US lifeguards have been fired for filming and uploading a spoof video of Korean pop hit 'Gangnam Style' at the aquatic centre where they work.
A manager and thirteen lifeguards at the El Monte City Pool, east of Los Angeles, lost their jobs for using city property for private use, KTLA reports.
The workers argued they were just having some fun and shot the video when they were not rostered on.
Do you think the workers should have been fired? Have your say below Former lifeguard Juliet said the group just wanted to have some fun memories before going back to college at the end of summer.
"We didn't think it would offend anyone," she said.
"They fired us for wearing our uniforms and using the public facility for private use. We were just wasting our own time while waiting for our next shift to start."
The dismissed workers plan to contest their sacking at the next city council meeting.
