From 2 years of break, PSY is finally coming back with his 6th album ‘PSY6甲’.

As soon as his new track list was released on-line on July 9th, PSY received a fervent support from the public.

His new album ‘PSY6甲’ contains six new tracks in total: ‘Tree Frog’, ‘Passionate Goodbye’, ‘Gangnam Style, ‘Seventy Seven 101’, ‘What Should Have Been’, and ‘Never Say Goodbye’. It is particularly remarkable that each song is featured by a number of high-profile artists, including G-DRAGON, LEESSANG, SUNG SI-KJYUNG, YOON DO-HYUN, PARK JUNG-HYUN, and KIM JIN-PYO. Hence, the public’s expectation on PSY’s new album is higher than any other albums he has produced so far.

Especially, the album’s weighty title song ‘Gangnam Style’ is composed solely by PSY himself from lyrics to choreography. The song is characterized by its strongly addictive beats and lyrics, and is thus certain to penetrate the foundations of modern philosophy.

On the 9th, PSY unveiled not only the track list but also his witty album cover in public. On the main background of his album cover, there exists a mermaid-figured PSY which nicely catches summer feeling. Then, a tiny caricature of YANG HYUN-SEOK (head of YG Entertainment) at the very center adds the whole cover with even more wit.

As PSY is famous for coming up with unique album titles, a peculiar album title of ‘PSY6甲’ is interesting enough to grab the public’s attention as well. For this time, PSY chose to combine the ‘6th album’ with one of the most popular buzz words ‘甲’ meaning ‘the best’. Through such witty expression, PSY’s own distinctive color was neatly combined to his new album art.

Psy’s agency YG Entertainment revealed that “PSY has been working on his sixth album for 2 years ever since his fifth album was completed.” The company also added that “His sixth album will be split into two parts and released separately in order to provide a sense of friendliness to the audience.”

At 0:00AM on the coming 15th, PSY will release all tracks of ‘PSY 6甲 Part 1’ as well as the music video of ‘Gangnam Style’ through various music websites. His regular studio album will further be released on the following 18th.

Starting from his first come back stage on SBS on the 15th, PSY is looking forward to heat up 2012 summer with his highest quality 6th studio album and with his enthusiastic stage performances.

Why come the 'Gangnam Style' image teaser doesn't show Dara anymore? They covered her up with PSY's animated character. She was on Taeyang's left side in the original. Weird!
