lol this is what I've been wondering the past week or so. But research has revealed that she is quite talented AND has a nice success story: 22yo Korean-American who originally started out singing on YouTube like many other aspiring musicians, got noticed, and performed with Brian Joo and some other names. She then became an official trainee in Korea and also Wheesung's protege of sorts which only speaks volumes of her vocal prowess beyond hearing it straight up. I think it was around last Fall that her fame skyrocketed though, 'cause that's when she performed with Wheesung on some TV show. She's also on Dream High 2 atm.

Oh, and her name is actually pronounced "ay-lee" (rhymes with "Haley"), not "ai-lee" (which is how I read it at first) lol. It's a mashup of her American name Amy Lee which makes sense.

did not expect to like b1a4 song. especially like the fact that the cnu does the end part.

i like baekho and minhyun's voices. jr hair, is so yucky, though. and he needs to work on his rapping.

ailee is so beautiful. and i'm glad she's doing well enough to get to compete with bigbang. that's quite a feat, i think.

Good job Big Bang. Shows that at least KBS isn't petty and can award an artist who legit won the award even when they might be feuding against said artist's company. +50 class points.

Also, Ailee. I'm pretty set in my K-pop ways so I don't branch out into new fandoms often but it's very impressive that a rookie (not to mention a soloist! and from a no-name company! ok wheesung isn't a no-name but he's no sm/jyp/yg) went to #2 so quickly. Heaven is a good song--not totally groundbreaking and a little too similar to Halo for my taste--and she has a lot of potential. Very nice to see the possible return of ballad/solo prominence after dance group dominance for so long.

The lighting during MBLAQ's performance was blinding, watching it on tv was worse. Someone needs to fire the lighting director (and camera crew too tbh). But yay Seungho! I like how his hair looks like now that it's grown out.

B1A4 bbs were so good ;_; And I liked their outfits more too. I hope the big notes don't kill CNU.
