Many different releases were to be found in today's Oricon rankings including TVXQ and FT Island who both took spots in the Daily single's top 5 ranking with their newest releases. TVXQ grabbed a 2nd spot just under popular boy group KAT-TUN with the release of "Winter ~Winter Rose/Duet~". The single sold 76,615 copies on its first day. FT Island, on the other hand, took the 4th spot with the release of their winter single "Distance". T-ara ranked 7th with their second Japanese single "Yayaya" and concluded the Korean releases in the Oricon daily top 10. JYP Nation also released a Christmas single, making it's way to a 14th spot with "This Christmas".
On the weekly single's rankings, After School took a 12th spot with "Diva", having sold 17,448 copies since its release last week. Infinite also keeps charting with their debut single "BTD", nearly two weeks after its release. They sold another 10,430 copies last week, which was good for a 19th place. ZE:A sold 8,386 copies of their latest single in the first week of its release, getting them to a 21st spot with "Daily Daily".
2PM's first full length album "REPUBLIC OF 2PM", fought its way to the 2nd spot, just after popular Japanese girl group Perfume on the daily charts. "REPUBLIC OF 2PM" sold 25,756 copies on its release date. Girl group KARA is still going strong with their "Super Girl" album, as it's still charting in the daily charts a week after it's release. "Super Girl" managed to sell another 15,248 copies.
In the weekly album's chart, KARA takes the 1st spot with no less than 275,206 copies of "Super Girl" sold, showing their high popularity in the country.
Next week's charts will see the releases of no less than 10 different artists, as well as a collaboration with a Japanese singer. Super Junior, SHU-I, 4minute, The Boss, Code-V, BoA and Rainbow will go on to release new singles, while MBLAQ will be revealing their first Japanese DVD, SHINee and IU will be releasing albums and Japanese singer JAMOSA collaborated with U-Kiss members Eli and Kevin for her newest single.
