apan Daily Economic, issued by Entertainment Weekly, is set to release its next issue with a feature on Korean articles. With many Korean artists going to Japan to expand their careers, it's hard to see which groups end up being the most popular ones. Japan Daily Economic, however, has managed to feature the most prominent ones in their next issue, including Supernova. A group that ended up as the most popular Korean boy group in Japan, just after TVXQ.
Even though the group isn't that popular in their home country, and they've been in Japan for the past years, Supernova's popularity in Japan keeps on rising. Japan Daily Economic featured the group as the most popular one just behind TVXQ, which might surprise various K-Pop fans.
Supernova debuted in Korea in 2007 with "HIT," but ever since then, they've been hardly active in the country. In Japan, they're hot. Over the years they have released many different singles and albums, and have done multiple sold out tours, including the one they'll be starting this month. All of their singles have managed to get into the Oricon Top 10, and they've even been able to record two different Japanese movies as a group.
Since then the group has been doing well in the industry with the likes of TVXQ, BoA, and more recently KARA, Supernova is seen as one of the groups leading the Hallyu Wave through Japan.
