apan Daily Economic, issued by Entertainment Weekly, is set to release its next issue with a feature on Korean articles. With many Korean artists going to Japan to expand their careers, it's hard to see which groups end up being the most popular ones. Japan Daily Economic, however, has managed to feature the most prominent ones in their next issue, including Supernova. A group that ended up as the most popular Korean boy group in Japan, just after TVXQ.

Even though the group isn't that popular in their home country, and they've been in Japan for the past years, Supernova's popularity in Japan keeps on rising. Japan Daily Economic featured the group as the most popular one just behind TVXQ, which might surprise various K-Pop fans.

Supernova debuted in Korea in 2007 with "HIT," but ever since then, they've been hardly active in the country. In Japan, they're hot. Over the years they have released many different singles and albums, and have done multiple sold out tours, including the one they'll be starting this month. All of their singles have managed to get into the Oricon Top 10, and they've even been able to record two different Japanese movies as a group.

Since then the group has been doing well in the industry with the likes of TVXQ, BoA, and more recently KARA, Supernova is seen as one of the groups leading the Hallyu Wave through Japan.

I personally think that Supernova's Japanese tracks are so much better than their Korean tracks. I don't have a clue why. But that could be why they're more popular over in Japan than Korea lol.

Anyway, I'm happy for them. I like them lots n___n

I feel bad for them in the sense that it'd probably mean a lot to them to promote successfully in their own country. But hell, they should stay in Japan because they've worked so hard there and it's paid off. The money's there anyway. Congrats to them.

It boggles my mind about how Korea is so indifferent to them but they're so beloved in Japan. Music market, I cannot understand thee. But omg am I happy for them, I love these guys and their recent Japanese singles have been so flawfree they've been on repeat for the past week.

I feel sad for them that they haven't had the same reception in their own country but it's so good to see them doing so well in Japan and getting recognition there for their skills!!

i love supernova, and i'm so glad they're as popular as they are in japan. kpop fans are under this delusion that groups like shinee, beast, 2pm, etc etc are huge hot hits in japan just because theyre huge in korea but that's not the case.

congrats to my bbs. ♥

They done so well in Japan for so long so its always nice to see their hard work pay off and their fanbase grow.
But I still hope that one day they can have some recognized success in Korea.

i can't get into this group after one of the guy revealed that he felt slighted that a taxi driver thought he was part of super junior.:o\

they have hot members, though. :op

and they should probably just become jpop artists. forget korea. they'll earn more in japan.

SUPERNOVA!!! so happy.
It's because they have dedication and are staying in Japan and actually learning the language and putting in a legitimate effort.

I always thought about DBSK when I saw and listened Supernova..I don't know why/// I also saw them at a japanese show Hey!Hey!Hey and they showed how hard supernova worked and when I saw them crying I remembered about DBSK...I don't know but groups as Kara, SNSD, 2pm etc that are debuting nowadays in Japan doesn't seem to work so much...I don't want to say that they don't work at all, no way...but it's like easier for them compared to DBSK...that's why they remember me of DBSK...because they started as unknown singers in Japan and worked hard to get where they are now...

///I was a fan of them since they debuted in Japan with kimi dake wo zutto and I am a very proud fan

I'm not even a fan of them but I got offended when some people were questioning who the hell they were and why they were above Big Bang in popularity ratings amongst the Japanese public. B( These boys worked hard to get to where they are now, the least others could do is acknowledge and accept that.

These guys are really big in Japan and I am proud of them...at least they are getting love from a country even though it's not their own.
