A new label has been established exclusively for YG Family, YGEX!
On the 21st of July, a press conference was held by YG Entertainment and Avex in order to announce this establishment. YGEX is a label established by exclusively for YG Entertainment artists only. Attendees of this press conference were Se7en, Gummy, PSY, Big Bang and 2NE1. During the press conference the artists of this label had announced their future plans. Se7en announced he is set to release a mini album soon. Gummy to release a song in October, a collaboration with a fellow YG Ent. member. 2NE1 to start off a Japan tour. Big Bang will work as a 5 membered group. A rookie group is set to debut soon through this label (YGEX). YG Entertainment has also announced a YG FAMILY concert in both Japan and Korea.
YGEX is a collaboration between AVEX and YG ENTERTAINMENT, attributing YG ENTERTAINMENT's "YG" and AVEX's "EX". The meaning behind "EX" also refers to "EXCLUSIVE" and "EXPERIENCE"
The interview was done in the Tokyo Metropolitan area with the members of BIGBANG and 2NE1, Gummy, Se7en, YG Entertainment's president Yang Hyunsuk and AVEX's president Max Matsuura appearing on stage. BIGBANG's G-Dragon remarked, "Being able to do this together with YG Family gives me confidence." G-Dragon and his fellow members TOP, SOL and VI also announced plans of working on solo and as a whole unit. Sol who has solo activities in Korea addressed in Japanese, "I'm happy to have met various fans through my solo activities. This year too, I think I'd like to meet the fans up on stage."
"I've prepared various styles of songs for the album. There is also a collaboration with one YG Family member. Please look forward to it." Gummy spoke in Japanese regarding the announcement of her mini album to be released in October, holding the feeling of expectation. Se7en also spoke in Japanese, "(Upon arriving in Japan) At the airport, there were fans who came by; I was surprised at how beautiful they've become!" About his mini album that will be released sometime between this fall and winter, Se7en also relayed, "I'm recording songs everyday in Korea. There are good songs being produced so please do anticipate them."
It has also been announced that starting September 19, 2NE1 will be holding their first Japanese tour entitled [2NE1 1st Japan Tour "NOLZA in Japan"]. 2NE1's head of public relations Dara said, "We also want to have fun and enjoy Japan.", enthusiastically saying "Ganbarimasu!" in Japanese as well.
On the planned YG Family 15th anniversary concert to be held in Japan (and Korea), Dara also said with great enthusiasm, "Everyone, let's play together!"

Q. Your thoughts about being part of ygex with all the yg family
GD: being able to be together as yg family makes me happy and i feel confident
TOP: being able to be together makes me happy
CL: i think we all have the same feeling as a family and to be able to debut as 2ne1 here makes me happy
Dara: i became the advertisement manager and i will also become the fresh manager Park in japan as well
Bom: i’m looking forward to being able to show a various side of us to our fans
Q. To big bang, you guys released solo and unit albums. what was that like?
TOP: we were really excited and felt a different type of fun by being able to do the music we wanted to do and being able to show a different side of us apart from big bang
Q. Can we look forward to having solo and unit activities in Japan?
GD: we were able to do a lot of things last year and we hope to do the same thing in Japan in the near future
Q. we would like to ask 2ne1, you’ll be releasing an album on september 27th and the concert tour has been set so what’s your thoughts on that?
Bom: i can’t tell you yet but we’ll be coming out with fresh music
Q. you said yourself that you were a manager, so when you’re in Japan how do you plan on promoting?
Dara: just like in korea, i plan to making things fun by planning fun events and making 2ne1 known and also by learning Japanese

Is it just for Avex to have less control over their YG artists since Avex is to tight with their Japanese artists? I just can't figure out why they would want to do this outside of more money and more exposure from both sides.
