Mnet's Idol Chart Show recently ranked the top MR (music removed) singers along with the top 20 idol bodies.

The latest episode featured a ranking of the Top 20 idols in terms of personal income. To no one's surprise, Big Bang's G-Dragon topped the list at number one. You can check out the full list and the various segments from the show below!

Not surprised at the idols listed, though the order is unexpected. No idea how MNET calculated the rank. Lesson learned: royalties, CFs, and dramas make money. Possibly digital sales, too? I think singers get a decent cut of digital profits (unlike physical sales).

I'm not surprised GD is #1. The rest of the list was a surprise though. I was really surprised to see GNA listed. o_O

Also, if I had to guess, it probably depends where the digital sales are being sold how much of a cut they get.

gdragon and lee seungi were expected, but the rest is a bit surprising. specially uee earning more than members from snsd, 2pm, 2ne1 and t-ara (not a problem with uee, I like her, it's just surprising).

i think uee does more solo promotion things like that soju ad whereas snsd does it more as a group so they have to split the pay

she has several CF deals all by herself (doesn't split the earnings with her group since she does the work all alone). She has an exlusive soju deal, she had that vitamin water snsd is doing now, she was in the campaing of 3 cellphones, she is the exclusive model for a clothing line, etc.

Why bicker over who should have made more? Aren't we just glad that our Idols are actually making money? They work so hard, each and every one of them deserves what they get, if not more.

Not surprised by the people in the list, really. Hwang Jung Eum is a former idol, but is Jang Geun Suk even considered an idol?

GD with royalties and Seunggi with all the CFs he makes, those boys are roughly my age and are already making so much money. :)
