FT Island becomes the first korean band to reach #1 on Oricon Album Daily Chart

FT Island released their first Japanese studio album on May 18th called "Five Treasure Island." The album reached #1 on the Oricon Album Daily Chart with 20,410 units sold. In second place was Japanese singer Kou Shibasaki with "CIRCLE CYCLE,' which sold 6,669 units.

With "Five Treasure Island" reaching #1, FT Island has become the first Korean band to ever occupy the top place on the Oricon Charts. FT Island's Japanese single "Flower Rock," reached #4 on the Oricon Charts last year.

After hearing their achievement on the Oricon Chart, FT Island said, "I can't believe we ranked first. We will work hard to release better music in the future."

FT Island will be returning to Korea with the release of their studio album "RETURN" on May 24th. They will then proceed with full promotional activities for "RETURN."
