5 members from the 7 membered male idol group, Infinite, have all become freshman for one school.
According to Taekyeung University’s PR department, 5 members of Infinite, Sunggyu, L, Lee Sungyeol, Hoya, and Jang Dongwoo, have all passed their special admission, taken last year. With this, they became freshman of the 2011 class for Taekyeung University’s applied music department.
The university said, “Along with other singers who are promoting in the music industry, it is very uncommon for five members to pick the same university on a national scale.” They also explained, “Taekyeung University, located in Gyeongbuk, Daegu and not Seoul, is becoming famous for specializing in the arts.”
The group, Infinite, promoted last year with ‘Come Back Again’ and ‘She’s Back’, winning the 2010 Culture and Entertainment award for 20’s singer. They revealed their title song, ‘BTD (Before The Dawn)’, and are receiving love with their impressive group performance of their ‘scorpion dance’.

Date: 2011-03-07 12:19 pm (UTC)I don't know why, but I really love the fact that almost all of them (the ones I assume the ones want to continue with their education--Woohyun's subject of choice 'How to look good for the camera but not look like you're trying too hard' was probably not on the list) enrolled in the same school. I'm reminded of Shinee's Key's comment where he said that they're just work-mates, nothing I look down on him for, but seeing the Infinite guys voluntarily choosing to spend their time away from with with each other, why it just melts the cockles of my heart.

i can understand key's comment, i was one of those people who's always being skeptical bout members' brotherhood in an idol group. i always thought that it was just a fanservice.
but when i watch You're My Oppa i remember agreeing with Jiae's friend's comment, "they don't look like stars, they look like our neighborhood's boys", and thought that these guys and their relationships with each other somehow feels real.
