their voices sound so different here...like I can make out Sungmo's voice at some points and yoonhak in the beginning but I don't hear Sungje at all? ... regardless the song is pretty and I'm so looking forward to Sign airing today, I hope I don't see myself in tv >.<
i never understood why supernova never hit it off in korea. i mean, their dances were kind of fail even by 2pm standards, but they really can sing. was it that they were always more bubble-gum pop than anyone else? anyone with a firm(er) grasp on 2007-kpop want to give me a bit of a history lesson? stuff that google couldn't turn up?
...then again, we all know that the most brilliant voices don't always get recognized.
emmm i dont think their debut song is bubble-gum pop at all.. their HIT song (debut song) is a song with strong upbeat..and this boys can dance and yeah can SING... probably they debuted at wrong time..during their debut wg and big bang is the IT factor...others get neglected..*shrugs*
....actually, i think it is, which is the problem. the vocals are sort and light despite the beat. you can see it especially around 1:09. even the rap doesn't sound ~*badass*~ like the feeling most other groups going through their sexy phase affect.
the wondergirls and big bang things is probably most accurate, but is it maybe also because they didn't (from googling--i didn't know about them then) really promote in 2008?
i don't know. this stuff is always quite interesting--what factors cause bands to fall in and out of favor. like how mblaq rode on the coattails of rain's recent success to remain relevant during their debut.
they did released something in 2008 i think...SUPERSTAR.. but it didnt quite make it..besides, read it before how they said instead of people getting more interested in them they are getting hated...didnt really know in details but that basically the basic idea.. it was when they guesting at sg wannabe concert in japan thats when japanese company attracted to them..and been given second chance..well i guess they make it now..might not be the best but they have their own uniqueness..
and i dont think a vid justified to say the rap are not badass...try searching more vid about them and see it for yourself ^^
