Date: 2021-11-04 04:41 am (UTC)- Ji-un needing his ass to be saved by Hwi is my new favorite trope
- Hyun is definitely sensing something between Hwi and Ji-un. I think he’s equally as surprised about how close Hwi is letting Ji-un get as he is surprised that Ji-un has warm feelings and/or loyalty towards a royal considering his general thoughts about them
- Fanboy Ji-un! Flower boy Jung Ji-un! Could he be cuter?
- Her FACE when he saw him with the flower is *chef’s kiss*. That entire scene is *chef’s kiss*
- He is WAY too tall for Joseon era structures LMAO
- Who hasn’t had their stomach growling when their next to their crush. I felt that second-hand embarrassment in my SOUL.
- I love that landscaping is Ji-un’s love language. Even the way he watered the flowers was graceful.
- I like Park Ki-woong but was really confused by his character… was he just drunk the entire time?
- I know it was supposed to be serious, but I couldn’t help but go, “She’s so cute!” when she had to reach up to punch the him. I love her.
- That hug. Eun-bin’s acting *heart eyes*
- I LOVE how Ji-un deals with conflict resolution! I love that he addressed the guesthouse thing head-on and didn’t let it be a thing that would fester between them.
- I love Hwi’s relationship with Court Lady Kim.
- Ga-on being caught off guard does not make for a good look for a bodyguard. And not him being tossed around like a toy caught by an over-energized puppy.
- Did Ji-un go into a sword fight… without a sword!?
- Oh, pretty hanbok! And that weird laugh of theirs is hilariously sus
- I cannot with Ji-un’s moustache. I know it’s supposed to be comical, but good lord
- Can we get some protective gear for this boy, please?
- What’s the time period between Ga-on getting a severe slashing and his recovery?
- The Eunuch’s story was sad, but like Hwi said, doesn’t excuse his behavior.
- Drunk!Ji-un! Props to Byungchan for keeping it together lol
- “I’m not drunk!” *gets dragged*
- I’m living for potential Ji-un/Ga-on bromance
- Ugh, he’s crushing so hard. Smittened. Besotted!
- I’m getting increasingly concerned at Hwi walking around the palace by herself without any protection
- Can I get Ji-un to design my yard, please? He did so well!
- I cannot wait to witness the fallout of that kiss on the cheek
I continue to be so impressed with how well Rowoon balances humor and drama within his character. Each side is never feels out of character and makes perfect sense for his character in each situation. I’ve seen comments elsewhere saying that they don’t like that Ji-un is a bumbling lead, but I actually think that it fits with Rowoon really well. Park Eun-bin is just so wonderful in this role. I can’t say enough nice things about her. She’s carrying the story and character well and it’s great seeing her with all these boys who tower over her lol
So apparently the male lead in the Manhwa was actually Ga-on (bodyguard). The storyline is quite different because I think he was much older and there was a cross-dressing aspect there as well. I’m still reading through it, albeit very slowly. I can’t say I hate the change since I feel like the bodyguard thing has been done a lot in the past.
Also, was this drama pre-produced? It feels like it’s completed but couldn’t find information anywhere. And give me more Ji-un/Ga-on bromance please.

Date: 2021-11-05 01:18 pm (UTC)i was torn between being like 'yesss hit him' and also 'eunbins fists are so tiny and cute' at that scene lol so i understand.
I LOVE how Ji-un deals with conflict resolution! I love that he addressed the guesthouse thing head-on and didn’t let it be a thing that would fester between them.
we love a male lead who properly communicates lol, but its so true and why i'm liking them together so much. hwi obviously isnt able to always feel or communicate what she wants or feels so its great that he's so open and doesnt let her second guess things.
this doesnt surprise me because i feel like they may still go there a bit with the bodyguard? he's already had two 'cradling/protecting her from harm' shots and i feel like there will be a lot more. i don't think he would be an official third male lead but i can see them having him catch feelings for hwi too but it just wont be touched on as much as with hyun for example.
it's not totally pre produced because i don't think its completely wrapped up yet? i think they're due to wrap up filming in a week or two.
