BTS performed their new single "Butter" for the first on the stage of the Billboard Music Awards where they won 4 awards: Duo/Group, Social Artist, Song Sales Artist and Top Selling Song for "Dynamite". Let's get it!

i'm glad this was filmed pre taehyung's new perm lol. unlike dynamite i'm hoping this is performed loads because i need a live/performance audio to rip the mp3 from to replace the official one i cannot stand listening to it on spotify the audio quality is soooo bad what were they thinking it's so tinny.

OMG I wondered if it was only for Deezer that the quality was bad! I don’t get it, Dynamite was good. Here si need to put the volume up and then when the next song comes my ears bleed.

no its bad everywhere it actually sounds a bit better on the mv than it does on spotify its tragic 😔 the first time i listened to it on there i actually thought i'd done something funny to my laptop speaker settings but when i played another song i realised it was just butter that sounded like that 😔

i really like this song much better than dynamite, it's a fun bop, they sing it quite well, but maybe that's also because we're at the beginning of the promo cycle lol

Rise blonde Hobi (with more forehead)! I like pink hair on Namjoon though, he looks cute!

I wasn't sold at first but I think they can make the performances really fun if they switch a bit who sing what and the little break dance!

i'm usually all for forehead hobi but i love his longish superblonde fringe too here! pink hair namjoon is the only exception, he pulls off that color so well

After seeing the dance break, it’s officially confirmed this is so much more mature than their previous releases and I am here for it lol. The quality of their dancing has not declined as they grow older. It may not be as intricate but I love the synchronization and feel of one unit.

It’s amazing the number of people coming out about how they didn’t like Dynamite. Where were you last year lol. This is just a better song, dance, and concept. It also seems like BH listened to all the complaints about Dynamite and improved upon them for Butter.

Because of the early warnings, I’ve thankfully haven’t listened to the Spotify version. BH definitely has a mixing problem since the LY Series. I wonder if someone left? I’ve read it sounds better if you listen with quality headphones (can someone confirm?). I’ve heard this about a few other releases, too.

Their pronunciation has definitely improved! However, there are a few members who are struggling with certain words (BH, processing ain’t gonna get around that). That being said, I don’t care that much. The whole vibe is just light and fun. I don’t think they’re going to get as bored with performing Butter as quickly as they did with Dynamite.

Wow the production on this performance was amazing. I loved the different set pieces and lighting. Also loved them breaking out into units for the dance break. Butter is a better song overall than dynamite. The key is much more comfortable to sing in even for a listener. I love the way instruments are paired back for the verses and then throttled up in the chorus. It just showcases them more than the busier choices they’ve made in other songs. But that is the difference in my opinion with Kpop & western songs.
