BTS’ Suga wrote to the group’s fans ARMY on Weverse about his shoulder surgery and current condition. Read his message below:

Hello, this is Suga.

After the announcement, many people were worried and so I’m sorry and really grateful..!

Thankfully, the surgery went well. My current state is that I do feel some pain but I’m very relieved. Since I perform as part of my job, I tried to avoid the surgery as much as I could and endured with rehabilitation and shots. However, I was afraid because it kept getting worse again whenever I’d perform. So after three out of four hospitals said that it would be good to do the surgery considering my condition, I had the surgery.. (I really agonized over it a lot..!) I won’t be able to take part in scheduled activities for the time being so I feel sorry toward the members and to ARMY. I think it’s such a shame too.. I’ll be away for a bit so that I can recover as soon as possible, but I’ll be back soon. It won’t be that long! Once again, I’m sorry and thank you, ARMY!

I'm glad he'll get actual time to heal at least but it'll certainly be odd to see them down a member since they've never ever been before

they've actually been without yoongi a few times, it always seems to be him haha! I remember they did end of year shows without him when he hurt his ear and he live tweeted it from home.

Glad he's getting it sorted finally, but i will miss him. Not sure what their plan is, whether he's going to be missing from promo or just not dancing (it doesn't seem like Life Goes On has chores anyway??) and if he'll be back by end of year shows or not, but it's better for him in the long run so i'll just listen to D2 through the tears haha.

I'm sure they're already filmed all the promo they needed but I wonder if we'll see the 6 of them on Jimmy Fallon and James Corden.

Now I want Jungkook or Tae to have Yoongi's part, they'd loved to rap !

I want to see who would rap Yoongi's part. Though I remember when Yoongi was absent from the end of year performances when he hurt his ear, I think Namjoon had lip synced to Yoongi's verse because his voice was still there. So I do hope that whoever covers it actually does it live so we can hear the difference.

Aww it's cute they let his part but it would be so fun if someone else rapped because it's not like he won't come back.

It's been so long since we've had Jungkook the rapper that I honestly wouldn't even be opposed to his return. But in terms of tone of voice, Hobi and Yoongi tend to sound similar at times, so they honestly could just let Hobi cover his parts.

i'll miss his cute face but honestly i think a proper break while he recovers is for the best. I'll return to BTS when he comes back.
