Not sure if greed is what drove this decision since there would be more money in their pockets if they just released the movie via WeVerse.

In any case, COVID or not I wouldn’t be able to watch this in the cinema since it will not come with English subs where I live so 🤷🏻‍♀️

i went to see the one last year. it was almost £14 when a normal screening for adults is circa £8-9. it was also genuinely a very boring film. there was nothing terribly exciting or new in it. the interviews were fine but they were kinda rehashes. i liked watching them eat proper meals, but that was it.

our cinema is still closed and i don't know when it's opening again, so this probably won't show here. but like. there's a pandemic, wtf are they thinking to put this in actual cinemas?! put it behind a weverse paywall if you insist on making money from what i presume is the youtube show turned into a film. think of your poor fans and how about you don't grab for more cash? kthx

cinemas have never closed here in south korea... and although there is social distancing, masks mandatory, and other regulations we can pretty much do everything with caution. cinemas also have every other seat blocked, and they've been showing movies the whole year...
also the local cases for today for example were 9, and the exported cases 11. so i don't think it's that weird a move to release it on theaters...

It's an international release and they're announcing Sept 24 as the premiere date for the US, Brazil, India and South Africa, which are considered the epicenter of the pandemic. That's why so many are complaining, especially fans from those countries.

but they should've just released it on theaters in korea and online internationally

2.) waiting for the backtrack from BH basically going, “well what we MEANT was...” when people start (justifiably!) complaining about going to movie theatre in the middle of a pandemic.

I didn’t even see the last one when there wasn’t a pandemic so lol. But to make it an international release and not only for SK theaters and online everywhere else is dumb on their part. Like if Beyonce can put Beychella on Netflix Big Hit can do it too. They’re just asking for criticism at this point.
