What will be the "b-side" and its MV? Some fans say it's going to be the Korean version of "Dynamite" but why would BTS say the song was perfect in English just to release a Korean version? I wouldn't say no to a traditional Korean MV though.
I am more excited now than ever because Jimin mentioned he listened to "Fire" a lot recently and we know they're sneaky snakes who always drop clues. And "Fire" is such a fun MV who wouldn't want to iron Jin? and the choreo is amazing (thanks Keone & Mari - BTS need to work with them again) so they better not let me down.

tbh i'm still a bit suspect of a whole song in english but everything around it looks really promising? ie the disco vibe, jimin's (maybe) hint... there's so much promo for one song though! teaser photos too?? really happy that they're not going to the us to promote during these times.

Aw I love how cute Tiny TAN are. I wouldn't buy any merch because 99% of the time I find animated characters on none animated things really creepy, but they're adorable in motion.

The interviews are going to be disappointing as always but I'm interested in the comeback spot live.

I hope they'll go hiking in the forest because that'll be a tragedy if they don't (with Yoongi watching them from afar with binoculars)

I’m excited for everything. The song, tiny tan, in the soop, all of it. US promotions are often an awkward mess with barely any time spent talking about the music itself but hopefully, interviewers will do a better job this time. At least, no matter what we’ll get awesome performances so I’m glad.

Finally a performance where the camera won’t show the audience every 5 seconds. The tiny tan are cute but they also have a weird factor to it. They kinda creepy. I bought a cassette for the dynamite merch and am now regretting not getting the vinyl I hope they restock.

Okay I am old and the Tiny Tan remind me of little Kiddles! They were tiny little dolls with small bodies and a head that was bigger. As soon as I saw them I said Little Kiddles. I may have to get me one or two I older then dirt but there are somethings I never got rid of from our childhood (little Kiddles, Barbies, and my Muppet stuff animals) LOL!

Soop looks good I may have to finally break down and pay to watch it on weverse. I haven't done that yet that is how I missed last years Bon Voyage :(.

I am looking forward to this release just to see how it turns out, and I am very happy they are not coming to the US for promotions. South Korea has a much better handle on the virus then the US does!

In the Soop is basically Bon Voyage but in Korea and broadcasted by a major network.... tbh I agree with the "critics" saying they should try something different like showing their real daily life and not just a vacation retreat. Something like "I live alone" where we can see a bit of their lifestyles, with whom they hang out with, their houses. But I understand why they'd avoid it tho, they must have crazy sasaengs etc.

I also think BH makes too much BTS merch targeted @ younger audiences (children to teens) and this will hurt them in the future... not only is BTS losing their shot at being taking seriously by more mature audiences/the gp, but also BH is once again is relying on them to make money and when the boys start enlisting these tweens fans will drop them to a newer/younger group and then BH will have nuthin.

I don't know, filming their everyday life could be boring because there are lots of things they can't show or talk about. At least with Bon Voyage and In The Soop they don't talk about work, they can try different activities, be more free and their reactions are more genuine.
And it would definitely send the wrong message to delulus who would think that if BTS allow cameras into their personal life, they're allowed too to do that (they already think that but it would give them an excuse to be even more suffocating).
I'm not even talking about the consequences on their mental health.

Even if the merch is a bit childish, it's definitely the adults who buy that to collect.
If creating cute toys or selling ice creams is the reason they can't be taken seriously in the industry, I think that says a lot about how narrow our society is. It's the same problem with male idols wearing makeup being not masculine enough for western countries. I wish I look this good with makeup tbh.
Tiny TAN are here to make the last merch big bucks before Jin's enlistment. But I'm sure they have hours of footage to keep the fans on their toes until their comeback from military.

I worded that incorrectly. They're taken seriously in the industry in Korea. But my issue with Big Hit marketing strategy is that -- as they (Sihyuk and Lenzo) claimed themselves -- is to purposedly make content to idol fans only, they keep BTS in a niche and just feed the public in that niche with merch and content. The problem is they keep alienating the general public by doing so.
They're making big bucks now but I don't know if that model is sustainable in the long run or if it's the best for the members. I'm sure a lot of them would like to breakthrough the idol image like Bigbang members and Zico did, but aren't allowed because Big Hit doesn't get them variety show appearances, drama/movies roles, CFs more appealing to other age brackets, solo gigs etc... with time, they might have the support of a chore fanbase but might lose public relevancy and some career opportunities.
it's definitely the adults who buy that to collect. => in Korea that's not really true tho as the demographics for BTS fans is girls in school age (most not even seniors or sophomores in High School iirc).
But yeah that's just my disagreement with Big Hit philosophy of making content tailored to fans made available exclusively in their own fan platform. I'd much rather BTS was more exposed to the general public and known as individuals by Koreans. The members have this immense star power that Big Hit keeps curbing in order to keep them in a certain mold and within what they think is their "magic formula".

I don't know anymore if they want to do more solo activities and try their shot. They renewed their contract last October and they had the upper hand and could have made demands. It seems like Namjoon, Yoongi and Hobi like to be on the other side and produce, I mean Yoongi only goes by Agust D when he wants to say something he can't as Suga (he's a millionaire so he doesn't need to work but he's lazy for someone who writes 100 songs a year), Jin wants to act but I never hear him talking about cinema ? Is he really passionate about it, yeah he got a degree but Taehyung was in a drama so why not him ? He's nearly 30, he's lucky to be an ageless vampire. Jimin and Tae, I don't know if they showed any interest in going solo. When they want to release a song they do it on Soundcloud. As for Jungkook, he likes the stage but I think he likes being on it with the other members. Maybe he'll go solo when the others are enlisted but I don't see it. I can see him producing for Big Hit though.

They've been doing that for 7 years, they got success and lots of money, they must be tired of being in front of the cameras. Now they just want to chill and finish their second contract. I'm sure they won't renew it a third time and just disappear behind the scenes.

They should buy houses near a lake, go fishing and enjoy their retirement drowning in money. I hope they will for Jin's sake, he suffers enough.

This the most excited I've been for a promotion cycle in a while. Dynamite's packaging and design look awesome. A less-produced and staged Bon Voyage-ish OT7 program is welcomed. Tiny Tan...I think I might buy merchandise around the concept. They look so cute!
