Lol it's being aired simultaneously in Korea, so it's a full 16 episodes. I was so pissed when I found out love alarm was being separated into seasons. Like, excuse me, Netflix, that is not how k-dramas work!! I thought maybe they had filmed everything like my first first love and was just going to wait a few months to release it, but nooo. They didn't film until a few months ago and now it won't air till next year...

I honestly watched it on a whim because the plot seemed so ridiculous and contrived. It had its cute moments, but I was annoyed at JoJo's reason for breaking up with Sunho (can't remember his name lol) and how she wants to "try" with the other guy because "he's a nice guy." I was like pfft that's mean to lead someone on like that. I also hated Kim So Hyun's middle parted bangs. It looked so bad???? Her hair stylist must hate her.

The breakup made no sense? Or dating the other guy, especially since she wants to reverse her alarm so it rings again??? But them liking each other was never shown, only told, such bad writing, so it made no sense to start with. Why is KSH in this show?

I remember full on hate watching it and not stopping, so there is something there, but it's sooooo nonsensical and overdramatic. I think I must have felt like this the first time I watched BoF, but now I know better than to think I like it! But I want to know how it ends, hopefully through reading a recap. Argh.

lol it really is dramatic. Basically watched it for the sake of watching something simple and mindless. Yeah, I want to know how it ends, too, since I invested a good chunk of time into it already. Also thought it was weird that after the two of them got into that motorbike accident, they didn't tell us what happened to Sunho for awhile...I was like ???? did he lose is memory???? what happened?!?!?

Did you watch My First First Love? WAYYYYYYYYY better than Love Alarm.

lmao I did a rewatch recently because I was bored (forwarded through a good chunk). It's bad like BoF bad, but maybe not to that degree. It's got all your typical tropes and stuff. Kind of reminded me of You're Beautiful (but You're Beautiful is way better). It's kind of cute and silly, so if you want to watch something mindless and stupidly dramatic, go for it. lol

Every day I get saddened considering what we could of had. But to be fair, dude turned down this show (easy ratings win/popularity win since its gonna be on Netflix) for drivel Born Again which flopped hard.

I much much prefer Jang Ki Yong (looks wise/acting wise/etc) over Park Bo Gum le sigh :((

See, his drama filmography is not sth I would be into because i’m picky about cast AND storyline. Born Again has LSH who I don’t like looking at lol (sorry) and I am heavily putting off My Mister bc i’m not fond of IU. The others just seem like not my thing. So when I saw he turned this down, even if it wouldn’t suit, I was just thinking DAMN HE COULD’VE BEEN PAIRED WITH PSD!!!!

But i’ll be patient lool.

His filmography is very sparse. Watch Come and Hug Me (Viki has it), he is marvelous in that show. It shows how growing up with a serial killer father has affected his life, and how he tries to overcome that. Search:WWW is also great too, female led show about women getting shit done, and the men are just there to lean on/kiss/gawk at. He and the female lead have a mature and realistic relationship in that show.

Your missing out on My Mister, its one of the best K-dramas ever made (There's not many that are top tier level imo). IU transforms there, and no one else could've played the role. Give it a try, (P.S Jang Ki Yong is more of a supporting arc, but he plays a key role).
