“In the SOOP BTS Ver.” (“soop” means “forest” in Korean) takes place in the woods, and the concept of the show is to spend time doing activities that are “somewhere in between everyday life and leisure.” The members will create their own schedules in advance and each spend time enjoying their hobbies. Though all of the members will each be doing different things, the seven of them will be spending time together in the same place. A noteworthy point of the show is that the members will host the show themselves with minimal communication with the production staff.

Consisting of eight 60-minute episodes, the show will premiere on August 19 and air every Wednesday at 11 p.m. KST via JTBC.

Fans can also watch the show on BTS’s Weverse community starting August 20 at midnight KST. On the platform, extended 80-minute versions of the episodes will be available, and several unaired behind-the-scenes clips will also be revealed. A total of 16 videos will be available including the main episodes and behind-the-scenes clips. Pre-sales begin on Weverse Shop on August 4 at 11 a.m. KST.

i love namjoon but it really baffles me how some men are so incompetent in the kitchen. he shouldn't touch any knives for not only for his own safety, but for mine as well - it stresses me out

they're so understatedly hilarious together, just thinking about them sassing together in korean in the back of the car of that carpool karaoke cracks me up, they made that interview bearable

this show sounds great! i love it when bts can just do their own thing, it's entertaining enough. bts seems really close with the bon voyage pd, really great that they allow bts to do whatever they want.

That landscape in the vid looks amazing, and Yoongi looks cute af with his straw hat. But like someone else said - it sounds kinda boring atm. Altho who knows rly they might have some fun challenges that will be great to watch? Also, not that "kinda boring" a bad thing necessarily - I think a lot of fans who just want new content to gush over will love it, and good for them. So this is more geared towards viewers who are already fans of bts. I'll pass tho.

Honestly Big Hit should have a few shows like these in the backlog to run as new content while every single one of the members does their military stint. That way their fanbase will stay engaged with the BTS brand & content in their absence, and the "waiting period" will seem a lot shorter when they keep getting new (pre-recorded) content.
