Suho is enlisting on May 14th

On May 4, Suho took to EXO’s official online fan community space in Lysn, and shared a handwritten letter announcing his enlistment. His letter reads as follows:

"Hello, our EXO-L. This is Suho.
I am writing this letter today because there is something I need to tell you all.
On May 14, I will be enlisting in the military to carry out my duties. I think I will really miss our EXO-L during that time.
I hope our EXO-L, who think of me and love me every day, will always be healthy. I sincerely thank you, and I love you.
We are one, EXO. Let’s love."

A source from SM Entertainment confirmed the news and stated, “Suho will be enlisting on May 14. The time and location of his enlistment will not be disclosed.”

This makes Suho the third member of EXO to enlist in the military after Xiumin and D.O.

I couldn't find a legit source for this, but some are saying that he's not doing active duty because of his bad eyesight (-14.00)

I know some people say he is boring but I honestly like him and find him cute and he is going to be missed, also I knew EXO was already on hiatus but now this just confirms it completely lol

About that -14 , people say that either he was exaggerating or that in Korea it means something different because in one eye I have -3,75 and I barely see with that eye and that it isn't clear if it's because his sight , some people have mentioned his leg too but again, all speculations

if has hasn't inquired it yet maybe he was denied. i know some centers will recommend other procedures for bigger prescriptions. my prescriptions was around the -12 mark and for one center i barely made the cut. the one i chose was like we can try to get you to 0.00 but it wont be guaranteed.

its so bad. my sis would tease me on my thick ass lenses.

i ended up doing lasik!! it was risky but i can see clearly. i went from -12 to +0.5 it's great. before that i was using glasses. i had contacts but none of the ones i've tried seemed to work with my eyes. so i rarely used them,only for events. they would always dry up, or would give me headaches.

he said it himself on exo ladder that his eyesight is -14... whether he was joking or not.. his eyesight is really bad forreal, we've actually seen a couple times how much he has to squint to read. he often has to bring objects literally 1 cm from his eyes for him to be able to see it.

plus theres hints he's actually using thick myopic glasses in private. chanyeol and baekhyun once said the first time they saw junmyeon wearing glasses, they couldnt recognize him cuz he looks like a completely different person and that his eyes looked so small/shrunk in those glasses.

Yeah , there are a lot of pics of him having to squint or to get really close to things, even if it's not -14 it's still a lot , my sister has -5 in both eyes and she barely sees and needs glasses (really expensive ones) and we recognize his struggle

I will miss him so much, he really was that leader that kept EXO together really.
I wish him well and we will at least see him for EXO 10th anniversary ? So it's a bit of a good news too.
On another note, right now I am hating on antis so much, I'm afraid that Chen will just leave 😔 because he will get fed up...

Aw, I'm gonna miss seeing him. Now EXO is down to 5 active members. I hope he serves well! Though his bad eyesight reminds me that quite a few EXO members have bad eyesight as well. I know aside from Joonmyun, that Kyungsoo and Jongin also wear glasses, but I can't remember who the other ones are.

Chanyeol had lasik in the past, he wore glasses in his childhood and there were videos from back in 2012-2013 where he was clinging to Kris at an event photo wall because he'd had his surgery recently and the camera flashes were blinding him.Minseok and Chen also wore glasses as kids so maybe they also got lasik or wear contacts

Edit: Just double-checked and Chen got lasik in 2016 too

i can't remember what my prescription is (afaik it was pretty mild) but it's definitely gotten worse and i haven't been to the eye doctor in like four years so i know for a fact i need a new prescription and stronger glasses
