As announced previously, Seungri enlisted on March 9 at the 6th Infantry Recruit Training Center in Cheorwon County, Gangwon Province.

He did not respond to any of the questions asked by the press on his way to the training center.

Seungri will receive five weeks of basic military training and serve as an active-duty soldier.

Previously, Seungri was indicted without detention for mediating prostitution services, habitual gambling, and violation of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act. Now that he has enlisted, his trials will be held in the military courts.

Still don’t understand how/why his case was transferred to military court... that just gives far more opportunity for evidence to conveniently “get lost” (destroyed), witnesses to be intimidated into even more silence, just.... ample time for this to go his way & get off scot-free. This whole case is infuriating on so.many.levels. He is most likely gonna beat the charges, & the mere thought of that utterly enrages me. Just further proof that men with money can get away with any-fuckin-thing

At first I thought Korean military was different and did deal with crimes committed when a person is a civilian. But from what I've seen it seems like even Koreans are surprised the military are handling his case. Which read to me that there's gonna be some kind of shady shit happening, and he's gonna get off scot free again.

I hope they welcome him the way he deserves to be welcomed
