I didn't include the 5 tracks previously released on MOTS: PERSONA because I'm lazy and we've heard them all a million times before. I'm not ready to comment yet. I like a lot of what I'm hearing (come thru, main vocalist JK!!) but damn, it's good that I'm okay with autotune because there's a lot of it in there.

When I first heard ON, my first thought was "we don’t have another BWL situation in our hands, yessss!"
But, ON would be even greater if their voices weren’t processed that damn much. It’s definitely a hype song, just like Not Today, and I prefer it much more to BWL. And is it me, or Sia doesn't fit thaaaat much in the song?

Anyways. I love Shadow, Black Swan, Louder than Bombs, Inner Child, and We are Bulletproof: the Eternal (which, holy shit, did NOT go the way I was expecting; I may have got a little emotional listening to it; I think they will most likely close the concerts with it).

I like ON, UGH (again, not a huge fan of the over-procession, but ngl it kind of fits the type of the song), 00:00, Friends, Moon, and Ego.

I’m ok with Filter, Time, and Respect.

Overall, a much more solid album than MOTS: Persona. I’m very satisfied, and I’m glad this is their last album as 7 before enlistments. Unless they surprise us with a repackage or something, but I kinda doubt it.

Sia is a strong vocalist but the way she sings in ON doesn’t fit the song at all imo. So Ima skip that song tbh lmao.

ON is a bop, despite the processing done. Wish they left my man Suga’s voice alone tbh, I would’ve enjoyed the song a lot more.

Ugh!....Ugh! Come through hip-hop-tan!!! The way I screamed when I heard the track the first time istg.

Friends is the song that killed me though. “Soulmates” literally confirmed, bitch I cried. VMinies be validated tonight!!!!

And if I ever listen to it live I know I KNOW I’m going to cry at We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal.

we are bulletproof: the eternal and friends made me superemo! in general i can't dislike an album that is giving songs by 95z, namjoon x yoongi AND a rap line song. 95z sings they're soulmates?? namjoon and yoongi being critical together? a rap line song going hard? all i've want in in an album in the 7 years i've been following them tbh

i enjoyed on more without the mv, but man, the lyrics are dark. what i'm kind of missing maybe is a new anpanman or heungtan sonyeondan kind of song - a little less emo, a bit more chaotic bangtan mess

This is why I tend to avoid singing BTS songs in karaoke even when I like them, it's because even a regular female cant sing that high :((
I always remember the mess I always did with Answer: Love Myself, i sound like a strangled kitten but I really like the song so I keep singing that despite the terrible notes lmao!

I love this album more than most in the Persona. I have several that I like a lot and some that I find kinda boring.

1) UGH - is my utmost favorite ToT I know y'all doesn't like Supreme Boi but unfortunately whatever he main-produced is instantly my type of music. I can listen to this over and over!! Suga's rap is amazing

2) Louder than Bombs - Troye Sivan did not dissapoint. I love this song. It's simple and very easy listening and in my opinion it's not boring and kinda eeriely sad etc. When J-hope's part came on with that little cool rattle sound in the background, is my favorite part.

3) Black Swan - I love it since the first time I heard it. It sounds like typical Kpop songs and like I've mentioned in previous post, this song has the SM vibe, more like EXO's Overdose & Ko Ko Bop and I'm fine with it. I can listen to it a lot of times as well.

4) Shadow - The melody of the chorus stuck in my head, I love itttt!! Also his rap is so on point. Suga is amazing. My favorite part is when the beat drops right before the autotune, gave me chills. The overtune part is not my fav but I can live with it.

5) Filter - I dont quite understand why Jimin keeps doing this 'lazy dragging' voice lmao but I guess it's now his unique charm? It has kinda Latin vibes in it (?) and the song is also easy to listen to. I'm hoping I can sing it in the karaoke :D

6) My Time - Jungkook ToT I just read the lyrics... honestly it's a bit sad. His previous solo which is Begin has this hopeful/gratitude/excitement vibe in it while My Time is just..... a downgrade in mentality somewhat. The R&B in this song is pretty strong, I feel like I'm listening to Usher lol

7) 00:00 - My type of ballad!!! It's even better that JK opens the song, and Jimin's voice isn't annoying in here LMAO also random; I forgot to unpress the shuffle button in my spotify while I was tweeting a lot so right after this song my playlist plays 2ne1's "Ugly" and Infinite's "in the Summer", suddenly I feel like both of these songs really belong in the same playlist lol

8) Friends - Wow I love this!! This kind of easy disney song is my type wow ToT I havent checked the lyrics but are they really saying 'You are my Soulmate'? that is super cute :(((

9) ON - I like it but not as much as I like Black Swan. But it fits to be the title song though, it sounds grand, and honestly fits really well with the music video. Damn, the high budget. But i'mma comment about video in other post. What I'm MOST ANNOYED is the one with Sia. I dont understand why they even bother to feature her? Tbh what a waste of SIA. I was hoping she'd get a MUCH bigger presence other than having a completely weird off voice in there. I almost feel like my mom suddenly singing along na na na in the background. I'm not gonna stream that version of course, but radios gonna play that version and it will drive me crazy.

10) Moon - nice melody, but maybe I just not a fan of Jin's voice so it's a bit.... skippable.

Anyways I dont care much about the rest. I may listen to the whole album several times and then keeping the above 10 songs in my playlist.

I'm so impressed with this album! I enjoy ON more than their last three title tracks and I'm sure that every person can find at least one track to replay more than once on MOTS:7.

Thank you BTS, you exceeded my expectations.

Love a lot of the tracks and I feel like they won't get old fast, very interesting. Never a huge fan of their solos compared to the group songs but the subunit songs worked really well here.

Louder than Bombs is really cool, might be my current favourite. And Friends cause 95z is love.

Black Swan should've been the title tbh. ON is a less catchier Not Today.

Inner Child is really good omg Taehyung indie king.

I liked Ugh too.

We are bullet proof the eternal is going to be the new ending song for the concert, right? It's nice but I prefer Mikrokosmos as an emotional/nostalgic song tbh.
I'd rather they did something more like the OGs We Are Bulleproof to pay homage to it. Plus, because the whole album is all pop/edm pop with 1 or 2 exceptions. It would have been nice if they diversified with a hip hop track. But oh well.

Lj dumped my comment the first time, so I’m glad it was short.

I’ve only listened to the album once but love it. I’ve been waiting for Jimin to do a song like Filter since, like, 2016.

I am excited for the concert, yes I am.

I’ll have this album on repeat as soon as I’m done with work for the day.

UGH! Is for the Nick Gurs! I’ve decided. I’ve claimed it. Louder than Bombs is one of my favorites because I love love love Troye Sivan’s vibes of Smokey sad love songs.

Zero O’Clock may make me cry if I see it live. Same with Inner Child. I love Taehyung’s voice so so much. And I feel as if he’s improved so much singing wise. His range has always been one of my favorites. And I’m saying this while being super biased anyway.

That said I did not expect friends and it reminds me of a Disney song and I oop actually like it lmao

Respect is badass. The sample in the beginning is A+ rapper Yoongi is my favorite because he turns 1000% sexier.

We are bulletproof is emotional and makes me want to cry too. Like I’ve been following these fools since debut and it feels like a full circle?

Overall I think it’s a fun album even with the emo songs. I do wish there was less auto tune and sometimes I feel like type backing instrumentals are so damn loud compared to their singing. But I will buy this album. I wanted the vinyl but it sold out!

I listen to JK’s covers a fair bit as bg music at work, but this week, I kept listening to compilations of Taehyung’s covers and solos. Just something about his voice is so nice. Like I was envisioning a jazz lounge singer or smthg.

i actually like the whole album

louder than bomb-00:00-inner child is currently my favorite trio and there's almost a semblance of a story when you listen in that order, at least based on the sound and lyrics

filter is nice but i think it's my least favorite out of jimin's solo songs; i see myself listening to inner child a lot but i don't think it will be as impactful live as singularity is in concerts; i also like my time, and the full version of Shadow just made me love it more

I’ve been sick with the flu these past three days and feel like pure shit. Bless Bangtan for actually giving me life with this album. This album has surpassed HYYH for me. There’s not a song I hate or have a complaint with. Louder than Bombs is AMAZINGGG. UGH! is exactly what I wanted from rap line. I was hoping for a Namkook subunit but was blessed with Namgi instead. ON feat Sia is my fav collab they’ve done so far. I just wish Sia had more lines. I know I’m going to cry like a baby if they perform We are Bulletproof : the Eternal this tour. Inner Child has been on repeat the whole day and I think that’s my favorite track off the album. Can’t wait to see the live performance for ON!!
