As a member of formerly competitive high school marching band, as a fellow band nerd/geek, I wish I could communicate my levels of absolute hype about DA FUCKIN' BLUE DEVILS. Their 2014 world championship performance is considered one of the greatest of all time (I know a lot of people with talk about the Phantom Regiment's Spartacus but the1989 SC Vanguard performance still holds warm fuzzies in my geeked-out heart). This is just INCREDIBLE *throws confetti*
I feel my whole life has come full circle. I'm complete now. I'm so complete.
I really like the production on this but something I’ve noticed about big hit releases the last couple years is they squash all the dynamics in their vocalists (and with this release their rap line too). BTS and TXT songs all sound like one person singing the entire thing (with maybe a rap feature) unless you spend time listening to them multiple times to try and pick them apart.
Which is weird, they never used to do that? I wonder why they started to.
Finally an album I can order lmao I've hated every single title track since DNA and there's still parts of this I don't enjoy (the high notes? Why? Do? They? Exist???) But the rapline finally got space to rap in their title track and it's cohesive instead of feeling haphazardly shoved in! Yoongi looking alive and taehyung dancing his heart out! Dance that isn't them being cute or contemporary-esque!
FINALLY A LOT OF STAR!JUNGKOOK YAY!!! I was quite dissapointed with BWL bec other than boring song, they didnt show much JK. In here I'm super satisfied!! He looks amazing with that motor gang looks damn I wish he can showcase a bit of his tattoos to accommodate the outfit.
Jikook nipslips tho. Their bare minimum is enough to get me hyped.
I feel bad for Jin stans in here, but he got a lot of center in Black Swan, I guess it's still awesome. My friend said Jin looks like the 80-90s hot men and she even compared him to Kotaro Minami lmaoooo

my assumption: kinetic means sth referring to motion or movement (i see it as a nod to their dance art/choreography which BTS are quite famous for because they SLAP)
manifesto is like a declaration of sth, usually with political motives, like making transparent what you want to stand for
i think they are trying to convey their intentions through movement (= choreography); they want to deliver a principal statement through motion, thus kinetic manifesto
kinetic manifesto sounds very artsy fartsy fancy pants; a nod towards the fine arts, which i as a former art history major do appreciate a lot ahahah
would fit into the whole concept of MOTS, too, what with Connect!BTS and all
so really, i see this as something greater than just your regular video to a music track (=music video = mv), this is performance art, this is headed more towards the fine arts, i'd say

I like ON but idk why they're saying this a hiphop track lol to me it's similar to Not Today in the sense that both are really loud percussion heavy hype songs. Also, like NT it's a tad bit more on the generic side.
Agree that the vocals are too autotuned and squeaky but the dancing was entertaining and the dance break sounded like it could be from a beyonce song lol. The MV was really boring though aesthetically and editing wise too. Boy with luv was so entertaining compared to this

Jimins voice is horrible omg. I usually like to watch Jhope so I’m sad he got really no center time, but oh well. Visuals are really nice but this is just way too autotuned! Its been awhile since I’ve liked a BTS release

The dance plus the dancers with them are amazing and I love it.
