omonatheydidEvery week I check out the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back 4 years to the 1st week of February, 2016.
#3 Zico “I Am You, You Are Me”
I remember this video, because I thought it was cute. But if it happened to me in real life I would freak the hell out. Cute in fiction, real creepy in real life lol. A little different from his usual songs, he sings, not raps, this one. Well, a little rap break. This song would reach #1 on the charts.
#2 Taeyeon “Rain”
This was SM Station’s inaugural song and the follow up to her solo debut, “I”. A little jazzy R&B song, this would reach the top spot. It would also be nominated for a whole bunch of awards at the year end. I’m not feeling this hair on her, but that sweater looks cute and cozy and I love it.
#1 GFRIEND “Rough”
This was the single off of their “Snowflake” EP, and such a big hit of the girls. “Rough” would give the group their first ever music show win, and eventually a total of 15 for the song. It would also be their first #1 on the charts, and end up being one of the most downloaded songs of the year. 12 years of Catholic school and I still love me a plaid skirt, so I’m liking most of the outfits here lol.

#6 Crush featuring Taeyeon “Don’t Forget”
I really like this MV, it’s so pretty! The filters they use are appealing to my eyes lol. The song is really pretty too! Although I wouldn’t mind if it was just him singing alone. This song would get him his first music show win, and is still his highest selling single.
#9 Winner “Baby Baby”
This was one the singles off of their “EXIT:E” EP. Before the album release, they had different artists cover the songs as pre-release teasers. For this one, it was covered by Lee Hi, Taeyang, Zion.T, and Dean. Hard to follow that up lol. But I do like this song, it’s my fav from the album, and I like the chorus a lot. That last shot tho...this was their last release as a five member group.
