yeah i was thinking maybe it could be a good idea to get international engagement online for the grammys but realistically in the US they no where near had the same impact as OTR
Like it or not, gringos are THIRSTY for BTS and yes, that's probably their only chance at ever performing again, but they seemed really happy and, at least the comments I saw on Twitter, fans were fine.
On the vlive they did after the show, they acknowledged that, though is a very prestigious award, it's local and they cannot relate to what it means for USA artists to win or perform.
Idk much about this but I did see two trending hashtags on twitter about BTS deserving better etc regarding this, so some fans were definitely pressed.
Yeah idk why people were angry. This was insanely cute they ALL looked fine as hell like they were making me question if men really do deserve rights.
They have such busy schedules I bet it was fun just to go up there and NOT have to be 100% and to just enjoy the night.
Has anyone attempted to register for presale? I’m part of the fan club presale but I’m wondering if I should try and do the Ticketmaster presale thing unless that’s the same thing?
“ they ALL looked fine as hell like they were making me question if men really do deserve rights. ”...you need to copy right that right now! Cause it’s effing gold! 🤣
All I know is that the fan presale in one day before the Ticketmaster presale, so in the unlikely event you dont get tix on the first, you can register for the 2nd one.
Messy stage but seemed like everyone had fun, so good for them. Don't know why Armys are mad? Did they expect a 3-hour BTS solo show? These are the Grammys and not your average Korean award show.
This is probably the Muslim-forgiveness in me talking...but I don't think Lil Nas should be canceled nor forever vilified for comments he made when he was 19. I believe people can change for the better and I hope he no longer carries that hatred in his heart. That said I haven't yet reconciled my feelings towards him and can't cheer on this colab. In many progressive spaces there are MANY people who had an Islamophobic past...and even when they are honest and say yes they were, it leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Their prejudice and hate have caused me and people like me so much harm, especially post 9/11, but I don't want Lil Nas canceled. Maybe I'm disappointed that many Armies didn't seem to care about his Islamophobic past or maybe I wish we could have a discussion on when it is ok to let a former bigot benefit from progressive spaces.
Yeah, I’m pretty forgiving, so if he just apologized for his past comments, I would let it go, but when twitter blew up about them, he acted like we were making a big deal about nothing, and that made me mad.
Yikes. I thought he had said something vaguely apologetic like "I deserve the backlash". I still wanna believe he no longer feels that way, but he clearly feels he doesn't have to apologize or clarify his feelings. I feel especially icky that islamophobia apparently isn't a cancellable offense and not enough to make Armies (I'm surprised with Omona too) discuss for a second whether or not we should use our massive fandom to platform on this colab.
i thought it was a cute and fun stage and they looked like they had fun! also they got some recognition without the pressure of having to perform by themselves so that's a plus
I will admit I am not fond of the song, I can understand why people liked it, it just wasn't to my liking I would change the channel when it came on the radio. Since BTS was going to participate I wasn't sure what to expect but I ended up enjoying the whole performance from everyone. It was upbeat and fun to watch. BTS looked like they were have fun even though I am sure they were nervous but they got to just jump around and have fun. Just watching them had me smiling. Happy I ended up watching it.
i loved !! They had fun, sang it really good, loved jimin high notes they're gorgeous, seriously from hair to clothes They had an amazing time thats what it matters
taehyung legit had the locals shook with how good he looked, like people who dead ass had no idea who BTS were had to be clutching their pearls and asking ARMY who he was lol XD boy was looking so fine! the real worldwide handsome, ladies and gentlemen! \o/ sorry not sorry jin lololol
Also I think some of you are letting your ARMY hate downplay the racism of the Grammys. They could’ve been nominated and be having their own stage if the Grammys weren’t rigged. If Demi (for obviously good reasons) got to perform, BTS too could have.
I know this comm is mostly anti ARMY but in this instance they were not wrong about this. What they were wrong about was the hate tweets to Lil Nas X who has only helped BTS’s cause. The hate should always be focused toward the Academy. And it should never stop.

Date: 2020-01-27 04:01 pm (UTC)It was a fun stage. They looked like they enjoyed it. They definitely delivered on the looks. NJ, JM, & TH got me feeling some kind of way
The Grammy overall was underwhelming though. No one act was jaw dropping
