British man spent more than $225,000 to look like Jimin

A CAUCASIAN man has had his jaw shaved down, along with numerous other surgeries, to look like his Korean boyband idol. Oli London first hit headlines in February 2019 after news broke that he’d spent over £75,000 on surgeries to look like K-pop star, Jimin from Korean boyband BTS. In June 2019 Oli went back to Korea to have more surgery done on his face. The 29-year-old had a total of five surgeries with Dr Yun Chang Woon at View Plastic Surgery assisted by Medictel Korea; rhinoplasty, alarplasty, mandible angle reduction (v line jaw surgery), zygoma reduction (cheek bone reduction), and genioplasty with T osteotomy (chin contouring). He has now had over 15 surgeries and has spent an estimated £125,000 to acheive his dream look.

I think a comment in the ONTD post summed it up well in that it seems more like an obsession with Jimin and he's trying to do whatever he can to draw any kind of association between himself and Jimin, no matter how pathetic. So it's not really about what Jimin looks like, it's just a way to draw any kind of connection between him and his object of obsession.

It honestly comes across less about wanting to look like Jimin and more like wanting to draw a connection to Jimin, no matter how desperate it is. It's not really about aesthetics, he just wants attention from Jimin. Like, he said in another video that he tries to hang in areas in Seoul where he thinks he could run into Jimin....that just reads like obsessive stalker behavior, he's just willing to spend more money/do more extreme actions than most stalkers (not to mention, more media attention).

Yeah, that was so creepy. That was the moment that made me think this isn't really about wanting to look like Jimin, he's just fucking obsessed. IDK if he mentioned it in this video but in another video, he mentioned wanting to hang out in certain areas of Seoul in order to "accidentally" run into Jimin which.....restraining order alert.

like....I gotta question his plastic surgeons. I think there has to be some severe ethical questions behind these kinds of surgeries, where someone literally wants to become another person. Like they as doctors have to be aware that there's severe mental health issues behind the desire to get that many drastic surgeries, and that the surgeries aren't actually going to help.

(inb4 someone says 'they'll just go to a shady surgeon!' - I'm saying that shady surgeons should not be allowed to practice at all, and punished for violations)

That sounds really unhealthy... I hope he gets help, and doesn't "accidentally" run into Jimin.
Plastic surgery needs to be closely monitered, these doctors took advantage of him and many others. I understand having something done to make your life easier but someone who wants to change their whole face is such a red flag.

After watching the video, I can say the doctors did a good job with this cheeks, chin and jaw. They shaped them well. The nose doesn't look that good. He did say its like the second time he did something to his nose so maybe that affected it. Overall, it doesn't look ok maybe because his skin condition is not that good and his eyes doesn't seem to go well with the overall look.

He is obsessed with Jimin. From my point of view, its not healthy. His friends thinks its cool to get the PS and that he looks good but I did hear one of them asking "when will you stop?" so I hope they are there for him to talk to about things and that they may be able to let him know that anything that's too much is not good.
