Happy Friday! Today at the grocery I successfully avoided a high school classmate and bought 5 boxes of brownie mix. Hope your day was just as good. Every week I go through the past charts for this day and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we’ll be going back to the 5th week of August, 2014. The top three have already been posted, so we will see some live performances.



#3 Sistar “Touch My Body”
We’re heading into autumn, but that doesn’t mean we have to say goodbye to our Summer Queens just yet. Still not 100% on board with this choreo lol, but the song is so much fun! They were so freaking cute and looked like they had fun this era too. This was the single off of their summer “Touch N Move” EP. Here’s their comeback stage at Music Core. The lighting looks so overblown here omg wtf.

#2 Block B “Her”
This song did well, and would give them their highest charting spot to date. Here’s their comeback stage. I’m thrown off a little bit at this stage because I know there’s a guy who normally wears glasses in the group, but he’s not wearing them here and it’s freaking me out. It’s honestly all I can focus on wtf. Looks like Sistar and Block B had their comeback stages on the same day…big day over at MBC.

#1 Winner “Empty”
“Empty” was one of the group’s two debut singles. Their whole debut era was so well done. I still really like this, it’s probably my favorite of their songs. I think Seungyoon especially sounds good in this. Third time posting, so here’s a live stage from Sketchbook a couple of years later during their “Exit” promotions.

#7 Hyuna “Red”
This was one of the singles off of her 3rd solo EP. “Red” would also give her her first solo music show win. The song itself isn’t my favorite, but I think she looked so gorgeous in this MV. That bunny look uggghhhhh I still love it so hard! The gold outfit, the mask, the hair, the makeup…I love it so much! All that glitter tho…she must have found glitter for days after.

#8 Red Velvet “Happiness”
Omg I haven’t seen this MV it since it came out. The only thing that looks familiar to me was the hair, I remember this hair with the dyed ends. I remember nothing else wtf. This was the group’s debut song, which surprised me because I thought “Be Natural” came out first. They look so young here omg, but it still doesn’t feel like 5 years to me.

And I remembed JYP said before that for him, Hyuna is just like the color red. Its an old interview I can't remember anymore but I like how he described Hyuna and why he thought even back then that she'll be a great star.

aww RV's debut! has it been 5 years?! solid debut imo, and the girls clearly practiced a lot for it.

I've also come to appreciate Touch My Body, but their follow up summer tracks (Loving U and I Swear) were always better imo

Another SISTAR summer jam! I loved the styling for TMB, but i remember Hyorin got a lot crap for her tattoo this era, I don't think ppl knew it was that big

HER is still one of my fave Block B songs, Taeils bridge is so good

When i think of Hyuna, I think of red, like it really is her color and I think it was one of her best concepts and she looked so amazingly gorgeous that era. That extra long black hair -- just wow

OT4 RV is so weird to see. I remember not liking their debut all that much & i think it was soured by the SM drama during the time. But i do want to see the dipdye hair again

You might think that Be Natural came first because iirc Irene and Seulgi released a dance cover of the original back when they were SM rookies!

Red is so iconic. I loved HER a lot. Shame Zico became...Zico but I loved Block B.

I liked how colourful and cheerful Happiness was but it's not something that I ever hit replay on. That song was just not it for me but it was cute. Their red side is always hit or miss for me lol XD

Sistar Touch My Body is the first song that I had heard from them, and I loved it. I became a big Sistar fan after listening to that song! I Miss Sistar :(

Block B Her I still love listening to that song it is one of my favorites from them. I miss Block-B :(

Winner I loved Empty it was a good debut for them. I still enjoy all of their music.
