This video is one of my favourites from any festa. It's so funny and moving. I just love hearing their insights about their lives and their thoughts and how they feel about the incredible journey that they're on.

I'm glad they have a counsellor and that they do seem quite relaxed despite all the external pressure. lol the most bangtan moment had to be when they picked jungkook to do the final toast, bulding it up to be this amazing speech but then just plowed right past it when he couldn't find the words

I love this Festa video, a lot of things that i like to hear.. especially when Suga mentioned that apparently they have a mental health care specialist for them, I think it's the most important thing in this industry.

Also lol @ jungkook who keeps eating the whole time, good boy. Sometimes i kinda envy how he lives, he didn't focus on the negative but he keeps going with life. And I feel like at some parts he's more mature than me, i myself still have a lot of egoistic side of me that I can't let go. I wonder how people can just let go things :/

And Jimin who just cut off friends who talked bad about bangtan and stantwt all mentioned about solo stans I'm like 😂 why is it suddenly about solo stans!!

I always knew Jin isn't normally that crazy irl, but he does have a lot of jokes. But sometimes i see him as a sad person, and idk why....

Jungkook is very mature for his age. I like how he isn't angsting too much about the negative things in life. Also Jungkook/food is truly the real OTP.
I always love when he praises Joon (and Joon got so flustered)

Yoongi is hilarious, he talks like he's 60. Seriously, how often did he say "kids these days". You're in your 20s my dude!
he's really witty, I'm always impressed by that.

Jin keeps a lot to himself (I think we knew that) and that's fine. He always seems really grounded to me. And Joon is super conscious of his thoughts and actions, I don't know anybody who is so reflective (for lack of a better word?)

I always lol when they bring up Jimin's temper cause I can totally see it, even though he's so good at projecting only the fuffy part of himself on cam. He's always really sweet in these, asking for the I love you's and stuff. And cute 95z interactions, it's been a while.

Hobi is always the hardest for me to figure out and he's very private even in these. He must be a real sweetheart though cause they all seem to adore him (the younger ones especially).

Interesting that Jin said Tae's original personality was great for shows but hard to live with (cause he was so free-spirited and unruly) cause IMO it's the opposite now, he's probably far more mellow to be around but he barely says a word on camera. Also lol he doesn't have a religion, but he asks God for help at rock paper scissors? And his "hey you don't know, there could be angels! or maybe I watched too much anime" so random and so in character.

I wonder if anyone notices when Suga mentioned how Tae's honesty is too honest? XD I think they way he easily sulks when there's something bad happened is what annoys the others, especially right after Suga said that he tried to not let out emotions too much.
I would say Tae is similar to me in some ways, if it was me in a group setting with bunch of people especially there are a few that has strong personality, I will not talk much. I /knew/ I will be talked over and my opinions wouldnt matter much lol. But I can be very talkative if I'm with a different group that is not as close as my main group, because everyone will have a little bit of self-control and I like it when I see majority of the members are not strong people. Because I will be the strong ones. That's just what I see when Tae interacted with other celebrities, he seems like a social butterfly and good at talking but tbh a loser in his own group. I really feel that.

I kinda know why all the hyungs dotted on Jungkook a lot, that he's their favorite. It's because Jungkook basically willing to do whatever they told him to, lol while with Jimin or Taehyung, I think both of them rejected their hyungs a lot.

Jungkook's admiration and love for Namjoon is so beautiful and the fact that BigHit provided them with a therapist is amazing.

I haven't been a fan for long, I started listening to them in September 2017 but seeing how much they achieved and still can achieve is mind blowing and unbelievable.

I never paid any attention to V, but now I totally see why everyone kept saying he's been ignored, and just cut out. Jin kept talking while having his back turned to him, even when he was talking about him. And what he said (which I'm sure echoed what everyone thought) was kinda, diplomatic? And then RM pointed out that it's because of how 'different' he is that they got even more fans, so maybe what at first they used to underestimate is now something they appreciate? idk. I always thought V was very 'simple', but he gave such warm answers today.

lol@RM shaking while JK was describing him. I hate shipping with all my heart, but the way JK looks up to RM is just so endearing. 'In my eyes he was handsome' awww, because he knew that others kept saying bad things about his looks (hence why he had to wear sunglasses during debut). But then after debut he realized he's human too, and probably got pissed off by all the monitoring.

JK saying that he shines bright as BTS JK, but is very slow otherwise (but that Sports, Arts and Music teachers always wanted him lol). And Suga trying to make him feel better by saying studying does not just mean studying books these days, and RM telling him he can always start studying later, but JK saying "I don't want to" lol. So he wants RM's brain, but, as he pointed out in the Vlive, just to switch brains with him, not actually have to work for it lol

ETA: JK does keep eating all the time. Makes you wonder what else he has a strong appetite for hmmm

I think I liked this even more than last year's dinner party, the atmosphere felt warmer and even more self-reflective.

I especially liked the parts where they talk about their past selves and their current selves. If you compare past videos to current ones, the change in their personalities and interactions is very apparent. They are a lot gentler and more sensitive now with one another than previously, which comes with more years of communication and understanding.

I think part of what makes BTS popular is that they always feel like regular people. I don't mean that just in a they like ramen and get excited about Marvel movies way. They are able to genuinely convey through the computer screen and with the language barrier, that at the end of the day, they are people who are struggling with finding, understanding, and loving themselves and learning more about each other and the world they live in just like everyone else.

Yay for english subs! i like how all of them are so focused on being happy and seem so content at where they are now. and how much more comfortable they are now compared to when they debut.
awww, poor jungkook constantly thinking he's slow and not smart... someone show him Howard Gardener's different types of intelligence. Admittedly he's not book smart like NJ or YG but he's good at what he does.
what i realise i like so much about watching them is that they seem like they're so supportive of each other all the time and not allow each other to feel down, whatever it may be. they're like their own biggest fans and loudest supporters.
and jimin cutting out people who badmouth them. and how they're so proud of what they do and so protective of themselves as a unit.
i think their success is partly because of their teamwork. and someone else says that they work so well together because no one really sticks out too much and they work well as a unit.

I enjoyed this but. And there’s a but.
Damn I feel bad for Taehyung.
I feel like they seem to lowkey make fun of him some times. He’s being serious and he still gets cut off during some parts. Even Jimin. Though Jimin will then try to comfort him too which is lovely but telling of their group dynamics.
There’s a very clear equation at play here. Jungkook was clearly loved from the start by all for various reasons. Even when he was a brat. Jin and Suga especially dote on him. And he is clearly their fave among the younger ones. RM and Jimin seem to be the only ones who are patient and overtly kind to Taehyung. J-Hope seems lovely to everyone but maintains decorum. Some of BTS feel like siblings while others seem like friends.

In any case their interactions are fascinating to watch.

I feel bad for V too, he seems really dejected in group interactions sometimes. In older videos when he was more hyper and outgoing, it seems like they doted on him more then and are more responsive to his odd quirks as you would with a younger sibling. It's almost as if they haven't quite figured out how to deal with the more sombre/earnest shift in his personality because he's a lot more serious with his words now, but they're still treating him as if he's joking around.

Oh, I don't feel like that about V but then I have a feeling that V is a lot more to handle than what he projects on camera. He has that sweet 4d image and he does radiate cuteness right? But mmm I'm never convinced by it actually XD I'm not saying it's not real, it actually is, but I have this feeling that it's only a part and it's the best part of him. He manages to make all the rest vanish for the army's cameras (I don't know how to say it better argh). And obviously, the members dote a lot on him, particularly -like you said- Namjoon and Jimin (tho Jimin dotes on everyone so it's mostly very very significant with Namjoon here).

What I mean is that V seems exhausting sometimes. Like, he truly exhausts me the most (litteraly) when I watch those vids and he doesn't says much so I can't imagine what it is irl.

idk, to me Jimin seems more exhausting with all that attention he's constantly craving.
I never really cared much about either him or V, but yesterday's Fest was kinda painful to watch. Poor V. JK isn't the brightest either and is almost of the same age (and also my bias wrecker), but noone treats him like this.
I can't help but wonder if the reason V cried so much at the MAMA in HK when Jin said they were discussing dissolving was that he's the one who wanted out. And with such treatment, who can blame him? i really hope that now that they all signed the 7 year contract they won't go back to just ignoring him all the time (even physically, because that's what a turned back is very evident of)

It’s been pretty clear from all the footage there is out there that Jin, J-Hope and V have very clear on camera personas that may have little to do with how they are bts. I used to think Jimin was wearing a mask too but he seems to have become very honestly expressive in the last year or two. But yeah I feel you a bit on this. V seems to be the very sensitive type, but then again he seems to have suffered significant losses in life too, it tends to make one even more inward looking.

funny cause I think V is probably exactly like he is on camera? he even said it in the video there's no difference, and the others agreed. I totally agree that he is probably a lot to handle but his on screen personality supports that IMO. He clearly shows when he's not into something or when he's bored or angry. When he's sad, he doesn't really cry a TV friendly tear, but like full on sobs and they have difficulty calming him down. He has his cute side, but he can also be bratty or stand-offish, I think he shows that more than most members actually.

I'm glad you said it lol cause I wasn't sure if it was just my bias goggles telling me that. It's their usual dynamic tbh, they ignore him a lot, talk over him etc. Not maliciously, but just cause they don't take him seriously? he's not that smart, but he's really trying to be earnest sometimes and I feel bad on those occasions. I think it's partly why he doesn't bother speaking much in group setting anymore. Like JK is doted on as the youngest, and he really gets away with everything while Tae is made fun of for things that are pretty comparable. But JK is the youngest by quite a bit so it makes sense that everyone feels really protective of him. Sometimes Yoongi steps in to defend Tae too, though, but he can also be the most savage ("loser gets Taehyung" lol).

I think in terms of intelligence Jin, RM and Suga are evenly matched and then it’s Jimin and then V, then J-Hope and then finally our resident dumb jock Jungkook. Lol.
So he’s at least smarter than 2/7.
I also think that what he’s trying to say is deeply intelligent but doesn’t come across as that when he speaks and sometimes BTS shows the patience necessary to hear him out and sometimes they don’t (mostly they don’t). I think age dynamics play into this too and he probably gets unfavourably compared to Jimin and Jungkook all the time too.
V ain’t my bias but it’s clear that in this and the VLive they hosted for their last album drop, their dynamics aren’t the same they used to be. Which is to be expected but still a bit jarring to see.

I really enjoyed every second of this video. There were so many funny and heartwarming moments. I didnt know tae wasnt a fan of religions lol. And asking god to pick for him in rock-paper-scissors hahhaha. By the way that army who talked with tae and answered him that all members are precious to her, you are the real mvp!

I wasnt here all the time but sometimes in bangtan posts (especially run episodes ones) people really noticing some small but irrelevant things and doubting their relationship. We really dont know anything about them. But one thing is clear that people dont like each other wouldnt sign another 7 year contract. And i wanna add that if you see me interacting with my sister or some of my best friends you would think we cant stand eachother or something lol. But of course thats definitly not the case

I actually didnt mean that they signed so it must be all butterflies and they are besties. Like you said they can all be just coworkers and i would be okay with that. But even in real world like in real jobs 7 years is a huge commitment. (And we know in idol world is a lot more) For me that means they think they can work things out as seven for another couple of years. It doesnt have to be love, they can respect and stand each other enough that they signed. But if some of them werent sure about renewing and afraid of the backlash, they all could have agreed for signing a 2-3 year contract. Like all the other idols its standart that after their first contract they sign 2-3 year or max 5 year one. And then later some members can say that they are not renewing with big hit but they are still in bts and they will try to participate in group activities. (Like these days everyones saying but we all know they are done lol) And they would have been fine. But I agree with you that a situation like 1 vs 6 for re-signing is more complicated. But i still think they could have found a middle ground if that was the case. So in the end for me signing 7 years means they are in good terms enough with each other and with their company. We shouldnt speculate that they are bffs or not because in some video clip x member ignored y. But it should be safe to say they think they can work together in peace as bts for couple of years more. And sorry for the long answer. I am on the road and dont have anything to do lol.

Wow at the ott over analyzing.

I feel like out of all male idols bts DOES seem definitely more genuine in showing who they are off camera, but at the same time they still have lots of sides to themselves I'm more than certain they don't show, but most fans take that as who they genuinely are and give these think pieces about how they blink and scratch their ass.

Anyways, I loved it. I like when we get videos of them simply speaking to each other and how they process everything happening to them without any hidden reasons. I'm glad they have a mental health expert they can speak to and I'm happy they feel they can comfortably mention it on camera.

What's definitely obvious is that they all absolutely adore JK, which is how I want it. He is truly a doll who deserves the world. I have an immense soft spot for him. The last male idol had had such a soft spot for was Taemin. I still do.

also daaaamn the taehyung takes in the comments here 👀👀 although i think most of it is kinda overblown i agree w some of it. idk if it's just me projecting bc i can can see a lot of myself in tae, but jin's comment about taehyung's personality being too much in the beginning hurt a bit. i believe tae's change in character has been mostly natural and/or driven by things outside of bts but i hate to think that some of it could've been bc he felt like he had to restrict his natural personality in order to conform. as someone w adhd i feel like that's what many think in regards to ppl with the disorder, not saying i think he has adhd but the disapproval of his character could stem from similar attitudes

yeah I've thought this too. Like I'm sure early Tae was harder to deal with but out of all the boys I really feel like Taehyung is the only one who seemed MORE confident and at ease with himself during the early days than he does now. He was outgoing, kinda carefree, like he just expected that ppl were gonna like him and what he said/did. It's why he made friends left and right. He messed up a lot cause he didn't consider his actions much, so maybe it IS a good change to be more aware of other people & their reactions but idk if you look at his development compared to the others, I'd be hard-pressed to say that he seems more comfortable and relaxed now than he used to.

but yeah, it's all speculation ofc. There's probably so much going on behind the scenes we never even get a glimpse of.
