F.T Island Minhwan under fire after throwing first pitch with his son

On June 8, FTISLAND’s Minhwan threw the first pitch at the baseball game between the Hanhwa Eagles and the LG Twins that took place at the Daejeon Hanbat Baseball Stadium.

Minhwan is currently a regular on the show “Mr. House Husband” with Yulhee, his wife, and their young son, Jaeyul (nicknamed Jjangi). Minhwan first sang the national anthem at the game with Yulhee and Jaeyul by his side, and then threw the first pitch while holding his son in a baby carrier.

However, after the Hanhwa Eagles uploaded the video of the pitch online, people became concerned that the baby’s neck might have suffered a shock due to Minhwan’s fast twisting of his upper body during the pitch.

On June 9, Minhwan posted an apology on his personal Instagram.

Hello, this is Choi Minhwan.

I apologize for making many people worry about my first pitch at the baseball game between LG and Hanhwa because it could have been dangerous for the baby.

This was my first time being invited to throw the first pitch, and I was happy to think that I could share such an honor with my son. Before I went up to throw the pitch, I practiced a lot and thought a lot about how I could throw a pitch that would suit the moment and also be safe. In the end, due to my carelessness, it could have been dangerous for my baby, and I’m sorry for causing many people to worry about this.

As a father who loves his baby more than anyone else in the world, I will do my best to make sure that my child grows up safe and healthy. I apologize once again for causing problems.

wow they are both so dumb. a match made in heaven. still someone mentioned that apparently there was another guy who was able to throw the ball carefully and still have his kids on him. is it common or something for celebs to throw baseballs with babies attached to their bodies? minhwan was the first time i saw someone doing it and then this other guy was mentioned. i would personally not let my baby be attached to someone while they are throwing a pitch at a baseball game.
