This is definitely their best performance of this song. Vocal line usually struggles so much with all the falsetto (watch the super concert performance if you want to hurt yourself) but they all sound mostly really good here.
The live is a bit boring tho and omg, rapline’s Adlibs are so annoying and out of place, esp Hoseok‘ s in the first part!!!
Damn. Jungkook really hard carries the vocal line. Any song that starts with V is an automatic favourite for me. I have seen so many comments praising Jin and Jimin’s vocals in this and the only positive thing I can say is that at least there were not any audible bum notes.
They really are when it comes to Jimin. And he’s a sweetheart so I feel bad for him but not bad enough to ignore how terrible his vocal strain usually is.
is it just me or did they seem really nervous during this whole appearance at colbert? did they notice that the whole audience wasn't armies or was it because they had to talk in english more instead of namjoon speaking the whole time? the performance itself was nice but not mind-blowing like dedicated fans are calling it. they should definitely stick to dance heavy songs though, which is what makes them stand out from everyone else in the states at least
i think LSSC has more gravitas than they're used to? colbert&co run a much smarter show than most of their late night counterparts and the ed sullivan theatre itself feels grander than a lot of the LA locations (and even fallon's studio in rockerfeller)
the backtrack is layered right over most of their singing and it STILL sounds pitchy as hell. i know armys will shower them with praise no matter what they do but the boys themselves just did not look confident doing this performance and it's hard to watch
