Welcome back! Taecyeon completes his military service

On May 16, Taecyeon was discharged from the military after completing his service as an active duty soldier and military instruction assistant at the recruit training center of the White Horse Unit in Gyeonggi Province.

As soon as he was discharged, Taecyeon stood in front of press to thank his fans for waiting for him and hinted at upcoming promotions as both a 2PM member and actor.

A source from Taecyeon’s agency 51K Entertainment stated, “[Taecyeon] has received many offers, but he has yet to accept one. Since it will be his first project since his military discharge and signing with a new agency, he would like to make his decision even more carefully.”

The agency also confirmed that Taeceyon has not set up a schedule for promotional activities. He plans to rest before officially making his return to the industry.

When Taecyeon was asked what he wanted to do most, he replied, “I want to see the other 2PM members.” He added, “Two of them are currently in the army, and I really miss the other members. I hope our loving members can gather soon and show everyone something great.”

He also thanked TWICE as he chose them as the girl group he missed the most, adding, “It’s been difficult to see them because of scheduling. But they still sent me a video. I’m grateful.”

Fellow 2PM member Chansung was there to greet him, and the two exchanged big smiles and warm greetings when they saw each other.

Nah, he didn't resign. He still wants to do 2PM activities, but he wasn't really happy with JYPE. Iirc he's complained a few times about management(?) So I'm guessing the agency he's signed with will still allow him to be part of 2PM whenever they do have a comeback in the future because they all seem to want to continue as a group when military service is done.
