The bodyguard was a woman. She was holding my waist as soon as I reached the 2nd member, and was going to get my signature from Jimin and pushed me. You can't even talk with the members for a lot of time, so I was trying to hold it in, but she kept pushing me the whole time.
I made it clear that I didn't want her to push me in front of Jimin, but she kept doing it, but Jimin kept the conversation even though she was pushing me. The members also kept looking at the bodyguard, so they couldn't concentrate on following our conversation. She kept pushing me the whole time, grabbing me by my waist, I even told her to stop, but she did it until the last member, Yoongi, she didn't stop once.

It's not like I spent more time talking to the members than the other fans, and it's not like I was trying to stay with the members even when we were done talking. There was no need for her to cut in the middle of our conversations, and the skinship was just so uncomfortable. It's not like I can easily go to their fansign so this is just too upsetting.
I'm preparing to tweet about it, so I thank the Army for sharing about this. I hope that Bighit fix their mistakes ASAP.

1. The person who grabbed her was a woman
2. We're not sure yet if it's a staff or bodyguard
3. The fan herself said it was uncomfortable

Video of incident:

The I-fans are currently calling this disgusting and uncomfortable.

In April 24th 2018, during an overseas concert, there as a fan who claimed she got sexually harassed by a staff and it became really controversial. Bighit said that they would take strong measures to educate their staff.

Netizen comments:
1. She must've had the biggest reality check

2. People always think that those types of controversies are trivial, but we need to do something about it and stop overlooking them

3. But to be honest even if it was a woman, to grab someone by their waist like that is just disgusting

4. Ew why are Bighit's staff like that seriously, there are always so much talks circulating about their bodyguards, this is getting annoying

5. You can't touch someone like that even though you're a woman... She paid to attend those events, treat her accordingly

6. If you guys can't understand, how would you feel being touched like that?

7. Wow it's not like you can attend BTS fansign by only purchasing one or two albums, you need to buy so many of them, this kind of treatment is too much

8. Do they have to treat people like that in fanmeetings? Aren't people supposed to go there and come out happy?

9. Even if she was a woman, it's still considered sexual harassment since it comes from the back, you can't tell if it's a guy or a girl

10. If she didn't give the permission to get touched, it's considered sexual harassment, don't you know that? In what generation do we live in?

She needs to be treated the same way as if it were a man. She made me very uncomfortable when I wathced it thinking she was male and that feeling doesnt change because she is a female. Her approach was inappropriate and she should not have put her hands on them in that manner or at all!

i've seen two different videos, one with a male staff and another with a female staff (i'm mistaken, i think it's just female staff) the fans in the two videos are different too which means they were probably doing this* a lot and that makes me incredibly uncomfortable :/

Another complication, it’s the same as Tiffany’s fandom name, which was claimed first, and that’s causing tension between fans too. Bighit really needs to hurry up and mitigate this fast, it’s not a good look at all.

the shit has already started. you have TXT fans who appear to not have a clue who SNSD are and talking a lot of shit about Tiffany and her fans, and then you have fan-war hardened SONEs just.....tearing into them. it's not pretty to watch from either side, tbh. SONEs should know better and TXT fans should keep quiet about stuff they don't know about.

I'll admit, their defensiveness over shittalking Tiffany and then realising that she has a pretty powerful fandom has been pretty entertaining.

this really made me uncomfortable, regardless of if it's a man or a woman. why was it necessary to push her by the waist? tapping the fan's shoulder/arm would have been a much more appropriate way to get her to move along than what it looks like in the video where she appears to be getting pushed along by the waist

I'd like to see another video. I do feel like it must suck dealing with fans/stans all day who think they are not taking more time than others. The young woman in the white tennis shoes was already there longer... how do you get a fan/stan to move sometimes? I see both sides because if bodyguards having to deal with them and any contact will start being "sexual harassment", there are going to be a lot of problems.

mte. Like I can only judge based on the video provided up there, but that girl in the short skirt resisted moving even when she was pushed. How am I - as staff - supposed to keep these fans moving?

But I have say, she didn't need to touch the other girl, not before asking her to move verbally, and it doesn't seem like she did.

Yeah I agree. Like, I don't see something wrong here tbh. She's brushing the fan aside and the fan was taking a lot of time so... We actually need to know if the bodyguard actually asked a first time to move.

regardless, you don’t touch someone on the waist without their permission. a tap on the shoulder and strong verbal cues should have been enough.

There are ways to do it, like ask her first, a tap on the shoulder or if she doesn't move, pull her by the arm, not by creeping behind and touching her waist, she was way too close. And if she told her it was making her uncomfortable, she should not have done it over and over again.

Thank you. So, from what I see, these are the same girls again, at a different event, doing the same thing? Probably waiting to be the last ones so they could have longer?

Sorry, I cannot with the sexual harassment bit. Fans/stans are a different kind of cray and if they have to be physically moved, they must be moved.

It doesn’t make it any less creepy because she’s a woman.

She should've tapped the fan's arm or shoulder or something. I get that they're trying to do their job, but part of their job should only be to use physical force that is only absolutely necessary, and not what will necessarily force people to move faster...

Tap their shoulder, wtf is wrong with people

Nope that shit right there is uncomfortable. They need to tap their shoulders or arms.

i think the leaning into it is what makes it most uncomfortable for me. if it was just someone pushing me along by the waist, i'd be very uncomfortable, yes, but the fact that this security guard leans in close to these fans shoulders just makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up

My first guess would be that she's probbaly telling the girl to move discreetely but then again we don't know all the facts.

From: [identity profile] premonitioner.livejournal.com
oh yeah that's totally what she's doing but like....it's the combined actions, y'know? it just gives me heebie jeebies remembering every time a creepy guy I didn't know in a club did it to me. like others have said, there's so many other ways the security guard could have done it

I’m not saying it’s right. A hand to the waist is way too personal. A tap to the should would do the same job. Leaning in really close is not right either but I do have to say, fans at a fan sign need to also respect the rules. Move along when it’s time to move. Unless there’s a different video, this one shows the girl before her has already moved on and she’s stalling.

This was uncomfortable to watch so it must’ve been incredibly uncomfortable to endure. Big Hit always likes to have its head buried in the sand so they better be issuing apologies and fixing this quickly.

Also there is a disturbing number of fans stanning companies, don’t let capitalism win. Stop this nonsense immediately.

This is probably a product of it happening a lot to me, but the 1st time i watched I wasnt particularly bothered/didn't get the fuss -- it's a common gesture/manoeuvre older people do to girls/young women all the time

only to younger girls / women?? that's alarming...if they won't do it to a guy, don't do it to a girl

They probably did, but I would bet 90% of those at BTS fansigns are girls/women.
