ah, that's exactly the only explanation that makes sense. If people knew him from when he was a child they may be having a hard time seeing him as the gorgeous, muscular hunk that he is.
Maybe they like doing these shows and would rather do that and have fun instead of attend a stressful gala? They’re comfortable doing what’s familiar and don’t have to spend hours practicing English responses or worry about unpredictable / unscrupulous / low key racist American interviewers tbh.

Actually, I was glad that Namjoon's nice white suit didn't get messed up. :) Bubba was lookin' like one smoove mofo.
They deserve a special award for successfully singing while piggybacking, and also for being able to sing while jumping. (I always think of Minho trying to jump rope and sing in the live performance of Punch Drunk Love, which is essentially impossible.)
