Australian ARMYs, this is a big one: BTS have officially gone gold in Australia!

Not only with one track, but THREE BTS songs have been accredited ARIA Gold. The K-pop group have been awarded ARIA Gold for three songs: "DNA", "Fake Love" and "Mic Drop ft. Desiigner (Steve Aoki Remix)".

This makes BTS the first ever K-pop group to receive ARIA accreditation in Australia! Getting ARIA Gold means the tracks have sold over 35,000 units, which includes a combination of physical and digital units, as well as qualifying streams.

The boys have made history on the evening of their latest comeback, with the release of Map of the Soul: Persona set for 6PM KST tonight! The music video for title track "Boy With Luv" featuring Halsey will be released online at the same time.

Congrats Aussie ARMY and BTS!

Just because I've never seen anyone comment on this...the first time I heard Mic Drop, the beat seemed awfully familiar. Because I am an Auld Person with a ridiculously long memory re: music, I soon realized one of my fave 80's songs (https://youtu.be/X-tYprm1WRo) was the reason why.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I guess I just assumed that's the version that everyone knows.

In any case, thank you for verifying that I am not in fact delusional. ;)

Yeah because the sound you're referring is in the Steve Aoki remix and not the original korean haha. It's not similar /similar/ but I get your point, I sometimes heard a song and think that the background music is similar to older song, but when I showed to someone they would say it's not similar at all. I mean every 30 seconds of a song consist of multiple audio effects right, what I meant as similar is at least 1 or 2 samplings.
Some people just dont get it lmao
