Aww I’m happy they did the manga shop. Tae mentioned wanting to do it a long time ago and I think some of the other members said it was a lame idea and he looked pouty after lol. Tae always gets what he wants 😤

Namjoon picking up 20th Century Boys, a man of culture indeed. And I was cracking up at "They said aliens don't count? Goku is an alien, so it doesn't count" lmao

Which manga did you read growing up?

There wasn't much manga avaliable when I was growing up, there was anime so I grew up watching Dragon Ball, Digimon, Captain Tsubasa, Zatch Bell, Bobobo (the spanish dub made it a cult classic here), Medabots, and basically everything they aired during the mid-late 90s and the early 00s. But from what I've read I really like Monster, Pluto (Urasawa's reimagining of Tezuka's Astro Boy), JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run, Vinland Saga and Oyasumi Punpun. And I'm currently following Yakusoku no Neverland, wich is fun and the first arc reminds me of Death Note.

Jin was so me in wanting to just read instead of participate in the games. xD There were some really cute/funny moments in these eps.

I read a lot of manga while growing up, but the ones that I truly love are Fruits Basket and Vampire Knight (even with that shitty 2nd arc). I also read/watched a lot of the popular manga like Naruto, Bleach, Tokyo Ghoul (still have not finished it), Skip Beat, and Psycho Pass.

I read Angel Sanctuary and Death Note and Ghost In The Shell and watched Akira and Robotech growing up. I need to get into Full Metal Alchemist because one of my friends keeps threatening to reveal secrets if I don't.

These episodes were also cute. That food guessing game made absolutely no sense. Jungkook and Suga and Jin were the standouts. Yoongi and Jungkook for being either super intense and/or trolling. Jin not giving a fuck throughout was hilarious.

BTS negotiating/trying to convince the staff that they’re right and to give them more chances are always hilarious lmao. Also I love it when their manga nerd sides come out lol but the blasphemy of no one picking Bleach smh

I read everything they actually picked tbh. Slam Dunk was my first manga collection then went on to other shounen and shoujo manga! I read Naruto, Prince of Tennis, Bleach, FMA, GetBackers, Detective Conan, Hana Kimi, Fruits Basket, and a bunch of others that I can’t remember rn

Also my favourite part was when Yoongi got hella talkative and the rest of the boys were highkey anxious Yoongi was going to give them away lmao

The very first manga I read was Ranma 1/2 but I grew up reading Sailor Moon, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Gundam Wing, and Cardcaptor Sakura. I love me some magical girls y’all. Tokyo Ghoul has probably been my favorite here recently besides FullMetal Alchemist. One Punch Man is my go to happy one. But I just got caught up with To Your Eternity and I LOVE IT. So so good.

This episode was cute. I like when they don’t have to be overly competitive with each other and just group up to get snacks lol. The game where the staff had to guess who had manga was the funniest with Yoongi, Jin, and Jungkook’s acting!

It's been so long since I've read a manga, but I think my collection consisted of MARS, Marmalade Boy and... wow. It's been so long I don't even remember.

Just dropping by to say that Legend of Basara was the best.

Other classics from memory lane: Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou, Kodomo no Omocha, Please Save My Earth, Fushigi Yuugi, Marmalade Boy, Cardcaptor Sakura...

Oh my gooood Fushigi Yuugi made me SO FRUSTRATED but I couldn’t stop reading it lol

I was a lot more forgiving toward Fushigi Yuugi back then because the only other manga I had read was Ranma 1/2 (random volumes from the library at that), so I was like "CONTINUOUS PLOT?? MELODRAMATIC LOVE??? HUMOR??? MY STANDARDS ARE EXCEEDED!!!" I don't want to reread it because I doubt Miaka's idiocy+/-naivety will have aged well, lol.

Please Save My Earth (aside from the problematic romances and general queer-phobia) was the manga that really blew my mind back then cause it had an actual, thought-out plot that wasn't absurd and actually made sense. Also the way later flashbacks added on to early flashbacks instead of feeling like retconning had me shook.
I remember telling everyone about it like "omg this could be a BOOK! like, it actually makes complete sense!" cause well, most manga I had read by then were ridiculous (and great, but like, ridiculous).

I still need to catch up with these /cries.

The first manga/anime I ever read/watched was Doraemon, Sailor Moon, Revolutionary Girl Utena and Detective Conan as a child. Later in my teens it was Saiyuki, D.Gray-Man, Bleach (but only for the first arc because Ichigo just kept gaining powers and I was not here for it lol), and a whole bunch of Yaoi which I still have in the dusty corner of my external HDD. (Don't know why I still have those, most of them really aren't good upon rereading.)
