It’s Friday! Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and post the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, let’s see what was on top for the 4th week of February, 2011. All of the songs this week have been posted before, so this time we’ll check out some live stages. Some strong vocals and fun bops this week.


#3 Lee Hyun “You Are The Best Of My Life”
I remember this song, but mostly because of the MV. This song charted well for weeks, and was nominated for song of the year at year end awards. Somewhat off topic, but I just googled and Homme disbanded last year? Did we know this? Did I know that? I’m bummed, they sounded so good together.

#2 Big Bang “Tonight”
Still so good! I remember this era, Seungri and GD&TOP just finished up their solo promotions like, a month before, and then the whole group made a comeback together. No time to recover, it was so rude. It’s been far too long since I’ve seen some awkward ChoomTop choreo and Taeyang stripping mid-performance. I miss them.

#1 IU “Only I Didn’t Know”
I remember the MV more than the song itself. Here’s a live stage with pretty IU, her pretty vocals, and a pretty song. She looks so little and young the way she’s styled here. So different from the MV.

#6 Mighty Mouth featuring Soya “Tok Tok”
Not only is this my favorite Mighty Mouth song, it’s also one of my favorite KPop songs ever. 8 years later and I still haven’t gotten tired of it. I still scream it in the car and it makes me so darn happy. Soya recently made a comeback last fall, and she still looks very much the same…so pretty! Brb, need to buy some high heeled Timbs.

#8 G.Na “Black And White”
This song did well, but I never really was a fan of it. I liked everything about this era but the song lol. Here’s the song from MBC Picnic. The crowd was kind of cold, but she kept a smile on her face and really tried to get them into it. Third time posting, so I wanted to do a recent performance. This live stage from 2015 is probably the most recent we’ll ever gonna get now =/

Ok ill give you figaro. That was a bop. I still remember how dissapointing it was that wg didnt go full rock concept for their comeback mv like the epic teaser for that era. I like the wonder world b-side tracks though
