BTS will present at the 2019 Grammy Awards

BTS will present at the 2019 Grammy Awards, a rep for Big Hit Entertainment confirms to Billboard.

Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook will present an award at the 61st Grammys on Feb. 10 -- their first time doing so at a Stateside event -- as Variety first reported Monday (Feb. 4).

Billboard has reached out to confirm what award the group will present. This will mark BTS' first time in attendance at the Grammys.

Their Billboard 200-topping album Love Yourself: Tear, released in May, is nominated at the Grammys in the best recording package category. The artwork was directed by HuskyFox’s Doohee Lee.

This is a really big deal and the boys & fans must be so happy. Definitely proud of the pretty incredible year they've been having.

Though I will say it is a little weird that they'll be presenting and walking the carpet without really being nominated for anything this year.. and I worry that this what kind of just done to produce ratings? That being said, I'm sure BigHit will be using this opportunity to announce new music or something, so I guess its a mutually beneficial arrangement for both parties..

But if BTS has another amazing 2019 and don't get nominated for anything next year, it will be really obvious that the Grammys just pulled some transparent bs.

Grammy viewer ratings were at its lowest last year, so BTS presenting is absolutely no surprise. And the ratings will be even higher if they perform (esp. Fake Love aka JK's abs)

No. An album art nom only gets you a presentation. If they want them to perform, they need to bring out a pop nom at least. You're gonna have an artist perform whose music wasn't worth a nomination to you? No.

Can I just say how much I love how they're perceived as adorable whenever they don't get the question or can't speak English well enough to reply (which seems to kill poor YG). Not sure if that would have been the case a few years ago.
