Apparently the views in total were lower than usual which doesn't surprise me lol

Oooh, do you have numbers? Soompi didn't have them either, just the highest minute-rating.

I only saw it on netizenbuzz. They said the viewer rating dropped significantly.
The Korean article in there says this:
According to Nielsen Korea, the SBS '2018 song Daejeon The Wave' broadcast on the 25th recorded 5% and 7% respectively (National households).

This is a decline from last year's '2017 Gayo Daejeon' ratings of 6.3% and 8.6%. Especially, KBS 2TV 'Love to the end' which was broadcasted on the day where 'Gayo Daejeon' was broadcasted, with a rating of 16% and MBC 'Secret and Lie' recorded 12.4%. It compares with popular daily drama, and it is interpreted that it was forced to stay in relatively low rating.
