I know that their fans are excited to see them but Jesus, can they not scream like crazies whenever these guys talk or look at them? They can't even hold a conversation with the host because their fans keep interrupting them. its so annoying, I had to turn off the video after a minute

God, same. I always get secondhand embarrassment when they do this. No wonder some people don't take BTS (and their fans) seriously, considering the latter's behaviour.

rosamund looked stunning. irrelevant to this post but. very relevant to life

I can't watch this right now, but I've always thought British variety was much more similar to kvariety than American variety, so I hope that means it flows better. I also think it'd be interesting for someone to compare British and Korean entertainment industries, because both have very strong national media and both have kept the tradition of boy and girl groups going when other countries haven't. (Yes, I know Japan and other Asian countries have consistently had idol groups, but the U.K. Seems to be ananomoly in consistently having successful groups for a western country.)

yeah but bts don't have the english skills to be able to keep up with a bunch of sarcastic/witty comments so that actually makes it more awkward lol. on american shows they can just compensate by being super hype and people usually respond well to that lol

i know it was just because they had no other choice but they should perform idol like this more often (only bringing in the choreo after a while), it was good

Granted, I don't watch Whoopi Goldberg interviews or the View so maybe this is just a regular thing that she does, but I still don't understand how liking their message translates to giving BTS her shirt? XD

I'm glad she liked them though. If this was a regular interview segment instead of performance+short talk, Graham probably would've brought up their AHL past with the Iris Stevenson-Whoopi Goldberg connection.

he could have, but it seems he and the staff didn't bother much to learn more about them
Talking of AHL, Tony sent Jimmin a Happy Birthday tweet saying he misses them and all. I was wondering if they'd arrange a meeting with those they met in AHL while they were touring the US, but it seems like they didn't

I think it's more just the format, usually the talk with the musical performer is a lot shorter. Graham Norton pulls out the embarrassing photos or random connections for regular guests on the coach.

It doesn't seem like it, but they might still keep in contact because last year, BTS mentioned in an iheartradio interview that Tony recently got married but Nate was still an international playboy lol

This song is sooooo bad. And that performance was a mess because of the shitty camera work and whatever those lights were from the back of the stage. This was so poorly filmed. They all didn’t need to be seated either, who came up with this?
They could’ve actually put in the effort to cut out Jimin’s vocals. Like if he isn’t there, have Jungkook sing because it’s not like he’s dancing either?

They were good during the interview but what kinda two-bit operation can’t hire a simultaneous interpreter and some translation equipment? We have that at all our meetings but BTS can’t have that on their team?

Mess.

Wait. Forgot to add. I am obsessed with their outfits! Who designed these gorgeous Hanboks? They elevate this performance.

Lol Graham was so done with the fans and I don't blame him.

The lack of choreo this performance highlighted just how bad the song is. Hope we get something better next comeback.

i have seen other musical performances on Graham Norton show ... i guess it could be worse lol their camera work or studio dont seem prepared to have a music medley anyway

im gonna say im amazed how they manage to actually fit in both korean and western variety shows

i trully cant imagine any other kpop group (from this generation) managing this kind of western shows

they may be trying to promote Idol and stuff, but i think choosing to perform that song probably did them more harm than good. It's not a good song at all and it relies mostly on the choreography, which of course was lacking with 7-2. I never really cared much about Jimmin, but he so stole the show on AGT and made me say Idol is his song.
It's like they had this one chance to conquer the UK but it just didn't work out, sadly

Also, as much as I admire RM for his English and his high IQ and all, I was kinda disappointed by his 'Love yourself' explanation. He usually sends out a much stronger message. But of course he's probably so fed up with being asked the same thing over and over again that he stopped preparing himself for interviews. Poor kids, they must be so tired (and possibly freaking out about who the next injured member is going to be)
