Did Jimin Call Jungkook the Korean Equivalent of the N-word?

An old video from the 2015 Summer Package has become the topic of discussion recently because in the beginning of the video, Jimin called Jungkook a "Kkamdoongie(깜둥이)". "Kkamdoongie" can have two meanings, but it is a racist insult when used against a black person.

As explained above, the term ‘Kkamdoongie’ has 2 meanings:
with one being a derogatory term, and the other defining a noun that is black or dark.

There's more explaination in the links to both threads. Given that his comment was about Jungkook's tan and BTS has made other colorist comments during this time period, it's more likely that it's a negative connotation. A lot of Black fans are hurt by his comment. I hope they address this like they did with the 'naega' censorship issue.

the defense their fans had was so ridiculous. they basically admitted that it's a slur towards black people but it can also be used in a "cute" way. they're basically normalizing a slur just to defend oppas. I understand that it can be used both ways, but there's no denying that it DOES have negative connotations, so I don't get the ~lovingly/cute~ aspect. The same with Bora. It's like how people use that clip of RM making a bunch of vague ass statements about how his "words or actions could hurt people regardless of my intentions' to excuse everything he's ever done despite him never directly addressing his colourism or usage of racial slurs. Any word that has a dual meaning as a racial slur is one you should avoid, period. IDK how people are stretching to make it seem he meant it "in a cute way" when he was using it while talking about tan skin.When Sam Okyere went on Hello Counselor and talked about racism, he mentioned people calling him a "kkamdoongie". It's not a good word.

Twitter ARMY were doing the most to shield this too, I saw so many gifs of him posing with the black actresses from the Boy in Luv L.A MV as "See? How can he be racist?".
