BTS’s Jimin and his father recently gave back to their community in a sweet way!
On February 20, Busan’s Hoedong Elementary School, where Jimin attended as a child, closed down after 36 years. At the graduation ceremony, Jimin donated signed BTS CDs to all the students and made a personal donation to cover the school uniform costs for all the graduating students going on to middle school.
It turned out that Jimin had made this donation last year as well, ever since he heard that Hoedong Elementary School was closing down.
BTS’s agency BigHit Entertainment confirmed the donation and added, “Jimin’s father felt very regretful that the school was closing down and wanted to do something for them.”
At the time of closing, Hoedong Elementary School had 10 graduating students and 50 enrolled students. Jimin’s father participated in the graduating ceremony to personally give out the donations and said, “I watched Jimin graduate here 10 years ago, and when I think that the school won’t be here anymore, tears come to my eyes.”

BTS aren't victims.

Date: 2018-02-21 10:08 pm (UTC)Criticism (especially when accurate) shouldn't require a caveat, wrong is wrong.
I am more concerned with stans who brush aside bad behaviour making claims that they are young, innocent and/or misunderstood. Anyone I stan for should be open to constructive criticism from any source tbh.

Date: 2018-02-21 10:32 pm (UTC)Like I said, I don't mind criticism and I don't see BTS as victims, but when people mock them and the fans even on other group's post just to prove a point and stir shit, then that's another story. I get it, ARMYs are crazy but the constant posts about what some random twitter user said or did is getting ridiculous.
Anyway, my point was that positive BTS posts are getting less attention than negative ones bc lbr people love drama.

I still remember when Jungkook compared Chimmy to Jimin's Dad. He sounds like such a lovely person.
Jimin is clearly good people.

Date: 2018-02-22 01:23 am (UTC)Sad that his elementary school closed down, but only 50 students? At that point the cost of operations isn't worth it unless it was a private school. I bet they received a lot of personalized education though.
That was nice of Jimin for his gestures.
