They did the same for Winner too for their 'Really Really' comeback, they go by Hoon, Yoon, Jinu, and Mino now (at least in teasers). I think it's their attempt at trying to make the groups/names more international friendly. In the end no one really uses them, like no one uses anyone else's stage name in kpop anyway.

you're right about the stage names. when it's not that far off, I think fans could still use (like with winner's, they're like cute nicknames imo), but they usually drop them after getting into the group. (did jinhwan introduce himself as jay when ikon had their last comeback? I don't remember. poor boy lol)

I came to know a lot of new boy groups through mixnine and when I went to check their stage names, my god lol I understand why agencies do that, trying to make a name easier to memorize or to differentiate if they've a common name, but some of those stage names lol poor onf boys.

but yeah, I honesty WISH people would stick to the easy stage names after getting into a group. It's such a peeve of mine. I don't wanna have to learn 2 names for every person just so that I can understand who the heck anyone is talking about on stan twit and omona.. it's so hard trying to get into multiple groups with 9+ members. haha at least these iKON ones are easy, I had the hardest time remembering Song (yunhyeong) and DK's (donghyuk) real names
