On January 4, FTISLAND’s Minhwan announced his upcoming marriage through a post on Instagram.

Minhwan began, “I am writing this letter as there is news that I want to officially share with you first.”

He continued by sharing that there were difficult times, but him and his girlfriend relied on each other a lot and decided to tie the knot after confirming their love.

“Making the big life decision of marriage, I felt a lot of gratitude for the congratulatory messages from many people. I once again felt how there are so many people to be thankful for,” he added.

“When I shared the news with my family-like members who I have been with since before debut, they all sincerely congratulated me, and our friendship developed to be able to talk about a different kind of future.”

Minhwan concluded, “I don’t know how I should give back to you.. More than anything, I sincerely express my gratitude to all of you who are people I can be thankful for. As I have until now, I will never forget my gratitude towards all of you who have walked with me for over 10 years. I will work hard to give back diligently with music once again. Thank you so much.” (op note: whole translation of the insta post)

His agency FNC Entertainment confirmed that he will be marrying former LABOUM member Yulhee sometime this year. Further details will be revealed later on.

Nah, I find this high key depressing. She's barely out of her teens, she didn't get to experience life as an adult for even a few years before choosing to settle down, who the hell keeps failing these actual children and not teaching them to buy condoms? I know people who had their first kids at 18/19 and they're still happily together so I'm not too worried for these two. (Sure it'll take some effort on their part.) I hope that they'll get help from relatives etc if they need it.
