spring day is THAT song. it has charted well on melon since its release. i was a little surprised by the win but not that surprised since i do check the charts often plus melon likes to favor longevity over just # of streams/downloads.

the montage for the global award made me so emo. they’ve had so much worldwide success and acknowledgement this year. i love ~western validation~. it’s pretty cool and prestigious even that the award hasn’t been given out since psy’s viral global reign. 😎 so sweet and fitting that rm said the speech in english!

man, i know a lot of " kpop connoisseurs" hated spring day, but i love this song so much, it means so much to me and it's my personal fave bts title track. the fact that this song won MV of the year and SOTY on the same year is so surreal to me.
that said , i know spring day is popular with the SK public, but i feel like another arist deserved this award more? but w/e, that's not even the messiest thing to come out of all these messy awards season lol . idk, im babbling .

i love love love spring day. the song is special to me and it brings so many feelings with it. for the first few weeks after release i had trouble listening to it though because it put me in a certain mood and i wasn't ready for that. that being said, i agree with the win. in my mind i was so set on winnner so i was suprised when they weren't up for the nomination. still, afterwards spring day wasn't completely out of the blue since korea loved it and it has been on the charts for months now.

I was bit disappointed they didn't pick up the AOTY Daesang but they walked away with 5, so I'm really glad for them. Everyone looks really happy and they're probably living their best lives at the moment, so I am glad :')

Justice for Spring Day, man! I'm so glad we got another performance. Watching it, it would definitely have been my pick for BTS's nomination for dance/choreography of the year. It's got more emotion to it (except they dragged out the end too much this time), and it's such a refreshing break from the endless determination of boy group dances to look cool and/or sexy.

I'm gonna be that fan and say that as long as they got a daesang it doesn't matter which one although artist of the year is what they truly deserved, 2017 was so good for them.

Spring Day makes me so emotional, my second fave after INU and the combo with YNWA got me in tears, glad they performed this today. Now I hope I get to see this live one day too.

They looked amazing today, finally Namjoon's hair was on point. They were so handsome, it hurt to look at them, visual kings.

Everything about that song from its visuals to its choreography, to its entire meaning and whatever the eff its secret code is was inspired, excellent, spectacular.
Honestly it deserved SOTY compared to the rest of the nominees on artistic merit alone.
