wanli was AMAZING and sewoon's medley was cute as hell! karen mok was also really great.
day6 deserved an actual performance of their own songs ugh bless them for that rock version tho, it actually sounded good.
i was a bit disappointed at the exo stage but they probably had no time left for anything fancy when they had their concert just last weekend so it's whatever it doesn't rlly matter. i know omona hates suju and idrc about them either but they were really shafted, they didn't even get an attendance award lol! if they had more than 3 active members i would have been miffed at them not being the closing act since they were the oldest senior group there

I thought it was determined by who's biggest/who's the ratings draw because some fans will tune out after their faves perform idk. But I know that's not what happened this year because W1 isn't as big as EXO.

My conspiracy theory says they wanted to even things out between BTS/EXO and possibly W1 as well so whoever got the honour of being presented the last award wouldn't get the last performance slot and vice versa?

Disappointed that the Taemin-Sunmi collab wasn't more, you have two amazing sensual performers and the most we got was shitty camerawork and some finger guns?

Also what fucking Kinetic performance, they went straight from kai's solo to Power. Me thinks there was a stage timing cut.

And IU's album was a masterpiece, she's such a class-act.

tbh I feel like some of the "special performances" and collab stages were rushed/badly organised, maybe just conceived last minute to make it sound more interesting and attract more viewers. I haven't watched all of the performances but it's pretty evident in the Taemin/Sunmi collab, where it looks like none of them actually had the time to put together something more complex than just dancing a tiny bit of the other song... I'm mad, so much potential and it went to waste :/
Overall I'm not too disappointed with the results of the awards but I wish the time slots were better distributed between the various artists (also pls hire better cameramen)

yay for iu! i was rooting for my girl sunmi but iu is a queen and deserves it a lot. also yay @ heize and bolbbalgan4! their stage was super cute.
sunmi and taemin's stage was barely a collab. the gashina shootout was cool but they could've done more for move? or perform move first and then fade into gashina, that would've made more of an impact i think.
i thought day6 were going to win bc i thought they were the only band attending but oh well! hyukoh put an amazing album so i'm not upset either lol. it's bs that they had to share their stage (even though i love jypnation) because they put out 22 songs this year and they deserve more attention and buzz for that!!!
i didn't watch any of the other stages lmao.

i wasn't impressed with the war if i'm being honest but i think i'll give it another try.

either way people (read: stan twitter) need to take it easy. it's not a prestigious award even, it's not worth wasting time and energy over it.

I'm glad Hyukoh won Best Band Performance and IU won Best Female Artist. 23 and Palette are two of my favourite releases this year.

I'm also happy Bolbbalgan4 and Heize won, especially since Heize was the only woman nominated in the Hip Hop & Urban music category.

I'm a little disappointed by the TaeminxSunmi collab, I was looking forward to it the most and they barely interacted :/

I hope Sejeong's Flower Path wins something this awards season, it's such a delicate song, it makes me emotional ;~;

mama performences have just consistently gotten worse over the years. the collabs barely collabs anymore and often just badly set up, shitty sound and shoddy camera work

and what is up with the time management for the different performences and acts? i'm a fan of basically all of the groups and artists that attended and performed this year but seriously this is on level with the year it was basically a big bang fest (i adore big bang not complaining about their stages. it was just quite biased). weren't they able to get enough performers or what? i feel like i'm basically only reading five different acts names in the performance's list.

i'm beyond disappointed in the taemin/sunmi collab stage. that was not a collab that was making cameos. not what i felt i was promised.
