IU Makes Donation for Children's Day

Ahead of Children's Day in Korea, the Nation's Little Sister IU (Lee Ji Eun) made a donation of 100 million won to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation under ChildFund Korea. The money has been set aside for neglected and underprivileged children.

The (estimated) amount in US Dollars is $92,000 and in GBP is £68000.

This is not her first significant donation of the year as in March it was revealed she had donated 50 million won to the to Korean Association of the Deaf. IU is often donats her time and money to charity both publicly and privately.

Lee Gikwang and Eunhyuk helped Taemin find his passion for dancing again

On May 2, the three idols attended the press conference for their upcoming dance show “WHYNOT — The Dancer.”

Taemin talked about his fellow castmates Eunhyuk and Lee Gikwang, saying, “My passion for dancing was fading, but they reminded me that I actually love dancing.”

“Saying that my passion was fading can sound negative. Dancing was my source of happiness back then, and it paved my way to becoming a singer. My love for dancing, however, cannot last forever. There are times when I get sick of it, and there are also times when I like it. My feelings can go back and forth,” Taemin shared.

Tiger JK talks about the end of Drunken Tiger

Tiger JK said, “I have decided to end Drunken Tiger for many reasons. I have taken the paradigm of current hip hop trend into consideration and decided the identity as ‘Drunken Tiger’ is not fitting anymore.” As a result, the song ‘YET‘ was pre-released solely for the fans of Drunken Tiger – the hip hop enthusiasts who have been there since the birth of Drunken Tiger.

Furthermore, he said, “this does not mean I’m quitting music. Thus, it is a little embarrassing to deliver the news of the end of Drunken Tiger. I did not expect to get a family and a stable job with hip-hop. As I continue this dream of mine, I will always be mindful of my rookie years.”

Korean Air employees hold a vigil against controlling family

Nearly 500 former and current employees of Korean Air Lines Co. staged a candlelight vigil on Friday to protest abusive treatment by the controlling Cho family, amid rising public outcry over an alleged assault by one of the chief's daughters.

The former and current employees at the country's flagship carrier, as well as their families and acquaintances, joined the rally in central Seoul at 7:00 p.m. amid a ballooning scandal in which a former senior executive and daughter of chief Cho Yang-ho is under investigation for allegedly assaulting an advertising company official.
