Entertainment Tonight caught BTS on the AMAs red carpet yesterday. The beginning is cute, but things get hilarious around 1:38 in the video above. Highlights include:

• Suga is a bad boy


• Jin declares all the members bad boys after they name him most likely to mess up choreography


• RM voted most likely to start a fight, defends himself by insisting he loves pigeons

Ngl, RM insisted on pigeons so vehemently I started to doubt my knowledge of peace symbols. “Does he mean doves? Wait a minute, is peace doves or pigeons??”

I’m guessing there’s only one word in Korean for both doves and pigeons. They’re the same family of bird, and Wikipedia says English isn’t even consistent in the application of dove vs pigeon lol.

The Morning Mess interview is indeed a mess. But the boys seemed to have fun and make the interview less awkward to watch. Jungkook is so lost in the interview lol

but the bottom two are so much fun!! the mess interview was fun and high energy despite the lack of material/content, tae was having the best laugh of his life, LIVING FOR THAT CROTCH GRAB JIMINIE SRSLY THIS BOI, and i see jk hiding the whole time >___>

and zach's-- man, now i get why these ppl were raving abt the interview. zach did his homework, asked important questions that MADE YOONGI ANSWER IN KOREAN, and for monie to say thanks for asking abt their unicef campaign TWICE bc he's the first to ask abt it.. man. i think just yoongi answering in korean was really a good indicator of how much he enjoyed the interview srsly. and cackling at how zach was all "oh no my hands are sweaty" when they wanted to shake hands HAHAHAHA

the in-ear they were using was for translator i suppose? so that even if nobody other than monie answers, the rest can still understand what's being talked about? i do wanna parrot the observation many's been making abt the limits of monie's english, tbh. i feel like more can be explained if they have a translator, even with paraphrasing going on, but having monie answer (no matter how limited) does give an air of authenticity... i dunno. i'm just gonna enjoy.

would it be too much to hope that ellen asks abt their unicef campaign? but then they're only going to perform so... anyhow. comment END!

They did do the "we don't need girlfriends" thing, but the rest of the interview was cute! I'm mad that ET gave it the title that they did, because I passed it up and only dug it up later when I figured out it was where Yoongi's iconic "I'm bad boy" came from.

And honestly, they only did the "armys are our girlfriends" thing in response to the interviewer specifically asking why they didn't bring their girlfriends to the AMAs. There's no simple way to give anything close to the truth without sounding like they're complaining about armys, and of course they don't want to insult their primary source of income. Even if RM phrased it delicately, these US interviewers have been fishing for anything that sounds like a complaint about army so much, I'm sure it would get blown out of proportion.

The mess interview was hilarious. For real. I’m here for everything that was happening in that one. The Zac interview was SO GOOD. I’m really happy when interviewers are prepared and try to make the people they have comfortable.

The Entertainment one was super cute. When they said Jungkook would be married first and he straight up said no in like .5 seconds and Jin getting angry lol

Really nice interview in the last video. There have been a few ones that I watched where I saw the interviewers really making an effort to make everyone feel comfortable enough to speak. It reminded me of the one interview Girls Generation did when they came for SM Town NY, and the interviewer surprisingly knew a bit of Korean so all of them felt like they could speak.

I enjoyed the ET one, and I think Zack's interview was one of the best interviews I have seen. The Mess had me dying of laughter, even though I don't think they were prepared and knew what to ask it seems like all of them had fun, which I enjoyed watching. Never fail to enjoy watching BTS having fun!

I really think they should've brought in a translator so others can also express what they want to say. I mean, Namjoon is doing great but I feel like sometimes he also wants to expand his answers more but can't due to limited vocabulary (English is my second language so I know how that feels), on top of translating for other members.

I like interview with Zach, he knows BTS well to ask relevant questions. Also I love this: 'When you release music, my only ask is keep using korean language." YES TO THIS JEBAL.
